"We enjoyed this fabulous home in December to celebrate a family friendly 40th birthday. The house had plenty of room, beautiful views and all the amenities. We had four families-each adult couple had their own room on the main floors and the children all fit perfectly in the nicely finished basement. There were plenty of towels, blankets and pillows. The kitchen and bathrooms had all the necessities. We also enjoyed the nearby local breweries/restaurants that had lots of room for our big group. "

"This was THE perfect spot for one last hurrah/downtime before the school year and sports pick back up. It was remote and quiet with cover water access and kayaks. Everything in the kitchen works beautifully and their is plenty of beds and space to spread out. We really enjoyed our stay"

"We had an amazing stay at Cozy Bear Cabin! It had everything we needed to relax and recharge. Each room is beautifully decorated, and it's clear the owners take great care of the property. The attention to detail really stood out—from the bear themed accents, to the cozy bonus loft, to the luxurious massage chair in the master bedroom. "We had an amazing weekend at this beautiful property, that our 4 year old affectionately nicknamed "The Lincoln Log House". From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The house was beautifully decorated and is very well taken care of, the photos dont do it justice. And we have stayed at many rental properties over the years, and this house was the cleanest house we've ever stayed at. Usually even if a house looks clean when you walk around barefoot your feet get dirty...not this house!...

"The photos of this property do not do it justice- it is absolutely beautiful. The privacy is so nice, and the house itself was wonderful. We had our adult children there for Christmas dinner- and I’m quite sure they will be renting this house in the future. Also the mattresses and linens were very comfortable- which is impressive in any vacation rental. This is a treasure nestled in the country."

Although the weather was not ideal (in part due to hurricane Helene further south), we took time to visit near and far locations: Luray Caverns (wow!!), Fredericksburg, Williamsburg, and Richmond museums.
