"We were both delighted and terrified about staying at this hotel! It was a great hotel in all aspects a traveler wanted. The room was great.The staff was great. The hotel itself was very interesting with some large common rooms which were perfect settings for your camera. The hotel was a couple steps from the main charming square where they shot the movie Under The Tuscan Sun. So it was in a perfect location, right? Not so fast! The perfect location was also on top of a very steep hill, and the road was a very narrow coble-stone road. I guess it was nothing if you were the local. But for a bad American driver like myself, it was terrifying. My tiny underpowered rental car bearly squeezed through the road, and I was lucky not to run over anyone because the road was so steep all I could see was the blue sky above, not the road below. It was some experience! But, we got through the fear and had a wonderful time at this hotel"

"Lovely view. Offsite parking was inconvenient. Coffee at breakfast time was from a self serve machine. Some of the art and decorations were done very very cheaply. "

"Perfect stay. Very comfortable room, fantastic shower, magnificent breakfast and dinner. Front desk personnel very helpful. Bring swimcap if want to use the good pool."

"The Villa di Piazzano is stunning down to the smallest detail. The staff is attentive, pleasant and helpful. The food and wine at the onsite restaurant was some of the best we had on our 23-day trip across Italy. One of our favorite stays for sure!"

"Great location, very comfortable room, many breakfast options, really appreciated having a view. My only complaint is that our internet service was very slow. I guessing it is because we were one of the furthest rooms from the lobby. I highly recommend this hotel and if you are lucky enough to stay there, I recommend the Osteria a Priori for dinner. It is across from the hotel and the food is delicious."
