Good Hotel
Great hotel, friendly staff and in a nice area of Montevideo. Close walk to Rambla with a few restuarants near by and very close to the shopping centre (including supermarket). Breakfast was bedlam at the weekend, but better than no breakfast.

Excellent hotel close to Punta Carretas
Nice hotel; very good price/service/conditions ratio. Close to a beautiful area of Montevideo (Puntas Carretas) and 5 blocks from the beach.- There is a nice shopping mall; restaurants and cafes at 2 blocks. Neighborhood safe. Large rooms for Latin America.- People nice and friendly.- Downtown is at 8 minutes by cab or 20 minutes walking. WIFI is free and breakfast good at a very reasonable price

Great hotel in a nice neighborhood
My husband and I couldn't have been happier with our choice for our 3-day getaway. The location was great, on a quiet street in an upscale neighborhood with lots to walk to and explore. The staff was professional, attentive and friendly. The room was modern and updated, and extremely clean (my first priority). I had forgotten to pack my electric plug adapter and found that the room came equiped with outlets to accommodate ones from different countries. Another highlight was the great breakfast with a large variety of food and fresh squeezed juices. The remote control of the T.V. even had a soccer mode button, fully optimized for viewing live matches. We found this a funny and nice detail, being in a country with such appreciation for the sport. We would definitely stay here again, it was a treat.

Wonderful neighborhood!
Great location, helpful, gracious staff make this hotel a good option. Short walk to Punto Carretas shopping center. Golf club across the street is open to the public as a park on Sunday afternoons (except June, July, August when international tournaments take precedence.) Interesting restaurant choices also abound and staff helpfully describes options. Room was small, but well arranged with ample closet space. Carpet smelled a bit stale, but windows do open, so airing out helped. Breakfast options varied and attractive breakfast buffet was renewed and kept fresh.

Good location. Very helpful staff. Easy check in and out. Nothing was too much of a problem. Plenty of choice at breakfast. Rooms were a decent size. Wi-Fi was poor in the evening but fine at other times. Close to shopping centre and excellent walks along the beach. This part of the city was fantastic for us. Lots of space, very clean, the people were so friendly and polite. Very relaxed but also orderly.Drivers were also so different to Argentina!

As is the case for much of Montevideo, this is an older building which is a bit tired. But it does the trick for good value, is located in a nice part of time, staff is helpful. No complaints.

Charming hotel and a great value!
Excellent location in Pocitos, across from the gulf club and only one block down from the upscale Punta Carretas mall. It appears that most upper rooms all have views of the river and neighborhood. Breakfast buffet is plentiful and the staff truly friendly. The room is a great size with fast wifi, a small sitting area and immediate hot water. (important during winter months in Uruguay) I really enjoy the hotel and having the restaurants/cash machines/grocery store in the mall nearby was very convenient.

The hotel is very nice and nicely located. The front desk screwed up two show reservations which we ended up missing, and delayed around 30 minutes an important message about a lost cell phone and had no explanation. Included breakfast was excellent bit w/o any variation day to day so you end up eating the same items. They charged $.090 for a local call which costs them $.002, a big markup. With better front desk service this would be an excellent choice.

Perfect neighborhood for restaurants, easy access to the rest of the city. Staff spoke English well and were very helpful. Safe and quiet neighborhood. We were visiting our daughter who is spending a semester studying in Montevideo and this was the perfect home base.
