One guest reviewer cautioned that the Lancaster is not a Hilton; no surprise there, for it's scarcely a Motel 6! It's described as a 3-star hotel. Maybe that was true in its prime, its early days. Today she has nicks and scuff marks all around and seems not to want to use any make-up (i.e., touch up paint for example). Staff, however, were generally helpful and fine, although housekeeping never got to my room during my two night stay. Breakfast was minimalist...

OK for one night
We stayed here one night only. It is well positioned in the centre of town but the hotel is very shabby overall. Breakfast was OK and room it was in was nice, pity the rest of the hotel did not match this standard.

Great place to stay in the middle of the city
The Lancaster isn't the Hilton nor does it try to be, it's location is great it's prices are brilliant I want to stay in a secure clean and central location and the Lancaster is great ticks all the boxes. The staff are good the breakfast is great. I came to see Montevideo not to live in an overpriced hotel. I have already booked my stay at the Lancaster on my return trip very happy

The location is superb, and staff very hospitable
For the price I just really enjoy it. Second time, and I like the staff, and the breakfast is really quite good. Overall it's a great option, for the price.

you should stay somewhere else... really!
i was there for 2 days. i found a blattella germanica specimen in the buffet table. during breakfast. to the hotel staff... please fix these big problem. i saw the bug .

a little old
its ok but its to old and needs some manteinance. the room is clean but the bathroom is so old that it doesnt completly work. beside that everything is ok the food is ok the buffe is simple but tasty

Hotel desmantelado
Cuando llegamos al hotel lo estaban desmantelando. Quedamos tirados en la plaza Cagancha con una niña de 5 años, buscando otro hotel, ya que una persona de la zona nos dijo que había cerrado hacía 4 días. Cuando volvimos encontré un mail que me habían enviado en la tarde del día anterior a la reserva diciendo que nos habían reubicado, pero podíamos cancelar sin costo, cosa que espero sea así. Espero que en adelante tengan en cuenta que no toda la gente está 24hs conectada, y que existe un aparato llamado teléfono con el que se puede tener la certeza de que el mensaje llegue en tiempo y forma.

Bien ubicado, excepto que tiene mala accesibilidad para llegar hasta la puerta con el auto y poder bajar las valijas. Todo muy viejo, remendado de mala manera y sucio. Por suerte pasamos una sola noche y durante ese día estuvimos todo el día fuera. No volvería, ni lo recomendaría.

La ubicación es muy buena, está en el corazón de la ciudad. Es una ciudad tranquila y segura, con buena locomoción pública. Cuenta con un sistema gratuito de bicicletas para recorrer la ciudad. Existe una hermosa rambla costanera de más de 20km, sobre el Río de la Plata.

Pior hotel que já vi!
Reservei esse hotel pq passaríamos apenas uma noite, já que nosso destino era Punta Del Leste. O critério para reservar foi preço e localização. Não tinha motivo de escolher um hotel caro já que chegaríamos mais de meia-noite e sairíamos de manhã para seguir viagem. Escolhi pelo site um quarto para um casal e duas crianças. Quando cheguei no hotel era mais de meia noite e meia, meus dois filhos dormiam no carro, a fachada do hotel era assustador, achei melhor deixar o marido no carro com as crianças e checar se o hotel estava aberto, minha reserva não foi localizada, o atendente perguntou se eu gostaria de ver o quarto antes de descarregar as malas, nunca entrei num elevador tão velho, quando cheguei no andar aquele cheiro de mofo era insuportável, abri o quarto e quase cai pra trás. Nunca tinha visto um quarto de hotel daquele jeito. Nada semelhante ou parecido com a foto do site Hoteis.com. AS janelas estavam abertas, as camas desarrumadas, no quarto tinham duas camas de solteiro, gente.....assustador. Fiquei impressionada de ter essa decepção com o site já que utilizo e sempre fui feliz nas minhas escolhas. Um hotel como esse nem de graça, ainda mais com meus dois filhos. Lamentável!

Muy mal el hotel, tiene una fachada que no es. La ubicación es muy buena, el personal con predisposición de ayudar pero no podían resolver mucho. El desayuno regular, son variedad. Limpieza muy escasa
