Experience the real portugal at Montemor-o-Novo
We had a wonderful quiet time at the 'Herdade' (cattle farm) close to Montemor-o-Novo. It is somewhat remote, but guarantees a quiet, authentic, but comfortable stay at the Portugese countryside. Very hospitable hosts give many tips about the environment.

Prima locatie is rustige omgeving. Op relatief afgelegen plek heeft de gastvrouw een aantal appartementen/huisjes bij hun woning/boerderij. Hierbij een lekker zwembad met prachtig uitzicht. Gastvrouw en haar man erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Oa tips over de regio. Leuk om met de gastheer tour te maken in zijn jeep over hun vele hectares grondgebied.

Casa do Olival is een appartement dat geschikt is voor 2 gasten. Wij waren met zijn 4-en en hebben gebruik gemaakt van de bank en een klapbed. Omdat je bijna alleen maar buiten bent, was dat geen probleem. Badkamer, slaapkamer en woonkamer waren netjes en schoon. De keuken was minder schoon. Er is een mooi ruim en schoon zwembad, de sfeer is goed, het uitzicht prachtig, de eigenaren hartelijk en gastvrij.

Les prestations figurant sur le site BEVILLA ne correspondent pas à la réalité... - Intérieur du gîte mobilier en mauvais état et sale canapé très usagé, vaisselle collante avec résidus de nourriture, épaisse poussière sur le dessus de la cheminée, du climatiseur et des meubles de cuisine mélangés à des granulés toxiques pour les souris, présents en grande quantité sur le sommier des lits. Sols collants, rideau de douche moisi etc... - Vue extérieure proximité immédiate avec une porcherie dégageant constamment des odeurs très fortes de lisier, dans un état de délabrement et apportant une nuisance sonore importante.

We (gezin met twee kinderen 10 en 12 jr) hebben een heerlijke week gehad in dit huisje. Gastvrij ontvangst, huisje schoon en prettig verblijf, bbq en pizza oven mogen vrij gebruikt worden en het zwembad is echt groot.

We spent a lovely few days at this property. Besides, it is ideal to go with pet. Ideal for people who like nature, and that this right next to several hiking trails. If you can, do not forget the bike!!, As the place and the roads are ideal for riding your bike.

Wij zijn net terug en hebben 2 weken in casa de olival doorgebracht. Heel compleet ingericht mooi huisje in Portugese stijl. Vanaf het zeer ruime terras waar onze kinderen zich optimaal vermaakten een schitterend uitzicht over het glooiende boerenbedrijf. Onze kinderen van 7 en 5 hebben zich heerlijk vermaakt in de natuurlijke omgeving en genoten van het grote zwembad wat zo mooi ligt. De eigenaresse Joke bracht ons geregeld heerlijke verse groenten en fruit uit haar eigen tuin en we mochten zelf citroenen uit de bomen plukken waarmee we dan heerlijke limonade maakten. We hebben dan ook met tranen in onze ogen afscheid genomen na 2 weken. Joke nogmaals bedankt voor je gastvrijheid! De meisjes willen graag nog een keer terug naar Jokeland!

Een mooie plek om tot rust te komen. Een pre was het grote zwembad en de fantastische ligging. Het appartement was niet echt ingericht voor 4 personen. Naast 2 bedden was er een smalle slaapbank aanwezig, die in de keuken stond. Het grote terras maakte veel goed.

Een heerlijke plek midden in de natuur, maar toch met diverse supermarkten op 10 ...
Een heerlijke plek midden in de natuur, maar toch met diverse supermarkten op 10 min, rij afstand en Lissabon zelf op een dik uur rij afstand. Maar met dat prachtige zwembad, met dito uitzicht, heb je eigenlijk niet meer nodig. De eigenaars doen echt alles om je het naar het zin te maken. Normaal boeken wij altijd een huisje met 2 slaapkamers. Hier had ik niet goed gekeken en hadden we er maar 1. We kregen gelijk een extra kamer in een ander huisje dat toch nog leeg stond. Ook mochten we mee in de jeep en werd er smakelijk verteld over het bedrijf en de landerijen, maar alleen als je dat zelf wilt. Kortom, vakantie zoals het hoort te zijn: zorgeloos.
