"For the most part the apartment was clean and the bed was comfortable. The apartment has plenty of storage. The entire building is under construction and lots of dirt from the outside gets inside. The noise from the construction starting at 7-8 am on most days was very disturbing. There were days that jack hammers were used right outside the door. In addition, the traffic and people talking outside the window sometimes until 1am, made it difficult to sleep. I had to wear ear plugs to fall...

"We quite enjoyed our stay at Donato's flat in Salerno. It's located right on the edge of the historic district, an easy walk to everything. The sea walk is close by, as are the cathedral and Minerva's Garden. There are many many restaurants nearby. Communication with Donato and his son, Roberto, was excellent. "What a lovely few days we had in Salerno! The apartment is in a great location within walking distance to the shops, restaurants, waterfront, Duomo and other sites. Giusy and Pasquale were the perfect hosts and offered an immaculate and comfortable apartment. Communication and service were excellent and Pasquale not only waited to meet us (our train was delayed), but he also arranged our taxi for our early departure. We were sorry to have to leave. "The neighborhood was a real Italian neighborhood and not a tourist neighborhood of tiny, twisty streets and passageways. It was a bit loud all day and night with people talking very loudly. We closed the windows and used the A/C at night and it was quiet and we slept well. Our hosts communicated well and were very responsive to our requests."
