The amenities are exceptional, and the staff—especially Vittorio and Gigi—are incredibly attentive, ensuring that every aspect of our stay was pleasant and memorable. The on-site Michelin-starred restaurant is a true culinary highlight. We stayed at the San Bartolomeo House, an impressive two-story accommodation with the master suite on the upper floor—thoughtfully designed and beautifully appointed. Breakfast at Borgo Pignano is world-class, and the lower pool offers one of the most breathtaking views we’ve ever seen. To our surprise, the estate even includes a museum filled with antique cars and motorcycles—an unexpected and delightful touch. But what truly stood out to us was the evident love and care that owner Michael Moritz has poured into this place. We were told he knows every staff member by name. That might seem ordinary, but for someone of his stature, it reflects a rare level of humility and personal investment. My wife and I were genuinely impressed by the meticulous attention to detail throughout the property. Borgo Pignano is a treasure in every sense"

"The hotel is well located near the city, has a gorgeous view and it is very quiet place during night. The pool Needs better care and to be heated, it is too cold in April, the garden needs a better maintenance and the service staff restaurant needs a more polite supervisor Asap. "

"This was a gem. Great stop spot between Rome and Florence. Staff was awesome. All services and amenities were great and our requests were easily looked after. Lobby and hotel in general beautiful. Dinner and buffet breaky were excellent. Very good quality meals and very good service. This place was a top stay for us and if the location is where you may be - you will not regret staying here. Easy free parking ! If you read many reviews and these are important for your decision making, then you will not regret staying here. One of the best ! "

"This hotel is a fabulous place to stay right in San Gimignano. The room had a spectacular view out over the Tuscan countryside. As it was right inside the walls everything was right there and it was particularly nice early in the morning and in the evening when the crowds have thinned."

"We stayed one night while walking the Via Francigena trail. The hotel is located in a perfect spot right in the middle of the main square in beautiful San Gimignano. You are near all.the restaurants, shops and attractions bu it was still very quiet at night. The staff were very friendly and professional. The breakfast was great offering lots of variety. We would definitely recommend this hotel."

"The hotel is situated in the beautiful Tuscan country side with stunning views and fresh air all around. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The staff were very friendly, accomodating and helpful. There was also a restaurant on site which had delicious food. Overall our stay was magical and we loved every second spent there "
