"Excellent hotel. I have a gluten sensitivity and am also a diabetic on a blood sugar sensor. I am nearly impossible to feed. There were abundant gf options on the breakfast buffet, and I was also able to get a hot gf breakfast prepared for me. The omelets were delicious, and I could get a cappuccino every morning, all included. The wait staff was knowledgeable about gluten and kept me safe. I got a hot stone massage at the hotel spa. "This hotel was a very pleasant surprise. It was centrally located next to a large square. Our room had a fantastic view of the palazzo. "Porta de Castro was a wonderful stay. The only thing is if you want quiet, the street it is located on is busy and quite a bit of honking. Didn’t bother me, popped in some ear buds at night. The breakfast and staff were amazing!!! I felt very welcomed and the staff helped me with any questions, plus lots of suggestions on what to do in the areas. Very convenient to walk to almost any place, including the train station. "

Bleach, Scrubbing Bubbles or similar with a stiff brush would do the job.//Hotel is a bit worn and it shows in a number of places. Neighborhood is gritty and dirty, but seemed safe. Litter in Palermo huge problem. Very noisy at night around hotel some nights."

"I love this hotel so much I keep coming back. Located in a quiet area near the ocean, this newly rebuilt hotel is clean with a classy modern sophisticated look. The rooms are spacious, some come with swinging doors leading to a balcony. The restaurant serves a tasty breakfast and filling dinner in the evening with excellent professional service.
