"This a good hotel for the price you pay. There is always something you can find to eat in the restaurant and a fresh cooking station. All the staff are lovely and friendly. The front of the hotel has been done up. Our room needed updating but was fine. There was a sewage smell from time to time from the bathroom unfortunately but they seem to be aware and a freshner smell comes through after a while"

"The property when you first arrive is absolutely stunning, the landscape everything spoke of high end resort. The room was huge and initiall was stunning. Then you see water spots from like a broken water pipe around the baseboards. The bathroom had mold on the ceiling and the shower drained very slow. "Lovely welcoming people. You have to understand that anyone walks can walk through the door and I believe they try very hard to make them feel welcome. Wi-Fi good , there is staff member that speaks English however you should download a translation app as mostly speaking Spanish. One thing I disliked is bathroom outside of bedroom. Otherwise perfecto :)"

"Since we got there, specifically the people that worked for the check in gave an extremely excellent service and were very honest and great people. In all of the places inside the hotel the service was amazing. The honesty they work with was incredible, my wife lost her diamond wedding ring and not only was it found but it was given back to us almost immediately, they also had a lost and found bin where everything they ever found was. "Great location, 5 minutes walk from the beach, so many restaurants on the strip behind the hotel (Aruma & El Cielo were our favorites) the staff cleaned constantly, breakfast was so good (Anna was so kind to us), free laundry facilities (just bring your own detergent), free public parking lot within 5 minutes walk of the hotel, an hour from Barcelona city center and central to other places worth visiting like Cadaqués, Peratallada, etc. Rooms have everything you need to be comfortable and enjoy...

"Another amazing short break at DWO Palmeres. Fantastic hotel offset from the seafront, close to the main stretch of restaurants and bars, with some wonderful facilities to take advantage of. Weather permitting, don’t miss out on the roof top infinity pool. Only a short 15min walk to the train station connecting direct in 1hr 30mins to barcelona. Of course theres the beach. Only 500 yards from the hotel. Oh what a stretch of beach it is ……outstanding. "

"La verdad que hemos estado este fin de semana 3 parejas con niños y la verdad que empezando por la localización es excepcional, apartado de todo pero al lado de los servicios, la casa muy bien estructurada, limpia y ordenada, todos los electrodomésticos funcionan a la perfección y son las camas más confortables de una casa de alquiler de las que hemos disfrutado El exterior está genial para los niños y los no tan niños La verdad que una estancia que recomendaría y seguro repetiremos "

Not as Expected

"Beautiful stone home, built in 1780, lots of need for improvement. We were four adults, arrival was scheduled for 4:30 on Sunday. The host postponed our check-in until 7 pm. No rationale and no apology provided. This was problematic as we were not able to get dinner or groceries – restaurants opened in town at 7 pm. We were shocked to learn that the road to this house was a very steep, winding, unassumed - , basically dirt, grass, rocks for 10 minutes. A smaller vehicle would not be able to navigate this road. We struggled and we had a four-wheel drive, larger SUV. The owner kept saying it was “safe” but we did not feel safe on this road. Needless to say we only took the journey down the mountain to the nearby town twice. The owner informed us the oven was not working in an email, the day of check-in. No attempt was made to repair it or to replace it. They have a wood burning BBQ, the owner said he would return the next day and bring wood for the BBQ. He never did. Contradictions to the house description: no gym/work out area or fitness center, no oven, no spices in the kitchen area. There was no hair dryer and we were instructed not to use a dryer due to limitations/renewable energy. They was no bottle opener, there was one wine glass. What was great – renovations and upgrades are nice: bathrooms, flooring. The trails around the house were fantastic, the little stream was quite lovely. The house is very isolated if you are hoping for quiet and relaxation"
