The Promontory Hamlet of Sajac, located in South Aveyron, at the end of the asphalt road, is an old mixed-culture farm living in self-sufficiency (operated until 1980) which was gradually renovated by the daughter of the Agricultural Operator and her husband while trying to respect as much as possible the layout and architecture of the different buildings: houses, stables, barns, bread ovens, chestnut dryers, ovens, etc. From the promontory where Sajac is located, in the Grands Causses Regional Natural Park, you overlook the Tarn valley, a panorama of meadows and wooded hills awaits you. Visit the UNESCO World Heritage with Albi and the Causses and Cévennes. The old attic has become a nice, bright gîte with pleasant volumes highlighting the elements of the old framework. Two terraces, accessible from the living rooms, offer an intimate space open to the landscape: a calm place! Brousse le Château, 7km away, is classified among the “most beautiful villages in France”. Enjoy in the evening, during the night, the coolness that rises from the river Le Tarn flowing below (distance 800 m, height difference 300 m) which has been developed for fishing activities; the arrival of the longest canoe route on the Tarn is located almost directly above the hamlet. Maintained paths around the Hamlet allow very pleasant walks in nature and woods of downy oaks, chestnut trees and conifers and connect the surrounding hamlets.
