We experienced a totally delightful two-night stay at Montacute Country Tearooms B&B. What a charming gem of a find this B&B was for our family visiting beautiful ancient Montecute for the first time. Alan & Marcia sweetly welcomed us personally and capably showed us to our well-apportioned room (#1), which is in excellent condition and exactly as shown in the attractive online booking pictures.
The double and single beds were both very clean and comfortable with ample pillows. We loved the strong water pressure with immediate hot water in a good modern designed shower. Large clean towels. High quality Baylis & Harding bath soaps, conditioner and lotion provided. Helpful electrical outlets for accessories on every wall and by both beds. Quite nights with good opened window air flowing in—we enjoyed full good nights of sleep.
The TV, Radio, Toy Museum is part of this charming B&B and there are fun things to see! Note that breakfast and the museum are suspended by Covid.
We ate dinner at both pubs in Montecute and enjoyed excellent meals and service. We all so enjoyed the absolutely amazing views from the top of famous St. Michael’s Hill which is a easy walk and hike from the Montecute Country Tea Rooms B&B.
Our first stay here was so special we plan to return again when the NEW Carrier Exhibit is opened at the nearby National Navy Fleet Air Arms Museum (August)
Thank you Alan & Marcia, you made Montecute very special to us!
