"This was our best stay during our tour of France and Switzerland. Delphine, the owner left a career in television in Paris to pursue her dream of running a guest house and she does this to a very high standard. We are clearly talking a labour of love here. "Tout a été parfait avec nos charmants hôtes. Malheureusement, c'est avec Expedia que j'ai des doléances. L'appartement qui devait nous être alloué n'était pas disponible dû à des rénovations. Expedia ne nous en a pas informé. Heureusement, nous avons pu joindre les hôtes qui nous ont dépanné avec un autre appartement. "

"La réception était difficile. Si pas sur place de 8 à 18h. Il n'y a rien. Le wifi dans la chambre est vraiment mauvais. Dans la salle à manger Il était correct. Sinon le site est merveilleux, très tranquille."

"The castle is in a beautiful spot. Close to the vineyards and Saint-Emilion. We were in France for 12 days and this was our favorite part. The Patio room is absolutely beautiful! "

"Positives - pleasant location. Room fine. Clean and tidy. Negatives- not as advertised. No bar, deli, swimming pool, garden, tables and chairs, or atmosphere. We discovered on arrival most facilities were closed because of change of ownership. So if you plan to stay soon, be warned…currently not what it says on the tin! A 5 mile drive for something to eat in the evening was the last thing we expected. "

"We didn’t stay at the property although we had booked it. It was difficult to find and the signage once we did arrive to the correct place was not clear. On. Pointing this out to the owner he took great offence rather than accepting a little feedback. He accused us of not arriving on time, when no time had been agreed, yet we were there at 4:30pm when arrivals were from 3pm. "Considering it is a place out in the country, with no stores or cafes nearby. I believe there should be some coffee/tea and especially water in the rooms. It was a very warm few days (over 90 degrees F/30 degrees C) and there was no water provided, and there were no glasses in the bathroom. The internet does not work well and I had to teach an online class which could not happen. Do not expect to connect to the internet. "

"The property was so beautiful. The staff was also super friendly. The property was hard to find and there was no parking. The town is beautiful but sort of touristy."

"This property is completely incompetent. Don't let their info on their website fool you they are open 2:30-9 to let you in. I came at a responsible time for check in at 5:30, waited 30 minutes and no one to let you in. Of course they are not accountable for not being there to let you in. They want to charge you for the fact you couldn't get in to stay there. It is very hard to find, took 3 different GPS methods to find it, then when you found it gates closed with chickens squaking at you."

"The cottage is nice but not cleaned on a daily basis which is strange and not ideal. The bedsheets are not smooth quite rough and therefore not comfortable. Quite expensive for a bed and breakfast at the middle of nowhere "

"France was really helpful prior to and on arrival. Bed superbly comfortable, kitchen well equipped, and the lovely Buddha garden was perfect and dog safe. You do need to speak French to communicate easily. "

"An AMAZING beautiful hotel conveniently located in prime area. The entire staff was POSITIVELY the best!!! I can not say enough good things about the entire staff. From the moment we stepped in to the lobby we were catered to as if we were Royalty. They were so accommodating and helpful. I have stayed all over the World and spend at least 100 nights a year at hotels and the Hotel Pavie staff is at the very top and of my list!! The Restaurant is fabulous and if you can get a reservation it is a must do. I can not wait to return."
