WTB 5 Star cottage

A very spacious 4 person barn with spectacular views and private south facing patio.
Accommodation is all on the ground floor. It has two en suite bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king size bed, whilst the en suite has a bath with overhead shower. The twin room has a shower en suite.

The owner (David) is very friendly and helpful. The accomodation is on a farm, about 5 miles drivefrom Monmouth, and is comfortable, clean and well-equipped. We were very satisfied with our holiiday choice.

Lovely Easter getaway
We had a really lovely stay at Beili Stable. The accommodation exceeded expectations and was spacious and cosy and very well equipped. David was attentive and welcoming. We explored the area and thoroughly enjoyed our break.

Beautiful and cosy cottage
On arrival the weather was awful, but the sight of our beautiful little cottage was wonderful.. very spacious and good size bedrooms, both with en suite.The kitchen was lovely and had all we needed. A lovely little treat was waiting for us too..The outside courtyard was perfect for oiur dog and there is a raised grass area. Just a note to say that there is a gate to separate the raised grass area , be warned the drop down to the path is quite high so dont leave your dog or children unattended... The lounge area was so comfy and the added little gem of a log burner didnt disappoint. The underfloor heating was a lovely touch and welcomed after a wet day out exploring. David was very helpful and was on hand if we needed him..Such a lovely hidden gem that we will most definitely be coming back too.

Quiet and clean
A beautifully renovated property which was spotlessly clean and well equipped. Seamless check in and out with ample parking spaces. One tiny negative - the only "view" directly from the barn was from the front window and the yard as the pario area is fully enclosed but gets the sun as is south west facing.

This property did not disappoint. It has been beautifully renovated and is well appointed for a comfortable stay. There are many lovely local towns and attractions which are within easy access; there is definitely plenty for all ages and interests.

Lovely location
The cottage is on a working farm located between Monmouth and Abergavenny. There are many places to visit including several local castles, the Wye Valley and more local rivers. The cottage itself has all modern amenities and is very comfortable. The owners were very obliging in giving us easy access to a power socket for charging our electric car.

Lovely, clean and spacious cottage with all mod cons. Cathy was very helpful and helped us in terms of suggesting things to do and take aways. Had one of the best take away Indian meals for a long time at the Jewel Balti in Monmouth and the Queen's chippy is also great. both within a few miles. Kayaking/canoeing is a must, we used LeftBankCanoe. Lovely walks straight from the cottage, but do beware if using OS map as the gates and styles are not being maintained and we had to turn and deviate a few times. Might be an idea to search for known routes online nearby.

Fabulous home from home

Beautiful stable conversion with heated floors
Amazing, clean, comfortable and warm. It provides you with everything you need and the hosts are very lovely. We've felt very warmly welcomed and place was located perfect to explore Brecon Beacon. ,Cardif and 9 castles!!! It was so nice to come back after all day of exploring to cook a meal and rest. Beds are very comfortable. We definitely recommend this lovely place.

Luxurious stay in idyllic rural surroundings.
The stables is easily the most well equipped and comfortable of "home from homes" i have ever stayed in. From the lounge, with its beautiful beams, comfortable sofas, log burner and fabulous views, you go through into a good sized kitchen diner with a stable door into a lovely enclosed patio garden. The kitchen has almost every utensil you could ask for with a large table and chairs. The bedrooms are separated by a door into a small hall area.The rooms are medium sized with good quality linen and mattresses on the beds and fluffy white towels. Both bedrooms are en suite and carpeted. The floors in the lounge and kitchen area are slate with underfloor heating! Cathy and Dave are a lovely couple who run a truly luxurious self catering and B and B business from their farm of beef cattle in a truly beautiful area of South Wales. They are full of information on the surrounding area and walks that can be taken. Nothing is too much trouble! The stables are situated approximately mid way between Monmouth and Abergavenny with a plethora of interesting places to visit. We will definitely go back to this lovely place. 5 ***** star stay. Thank you.

Paul, Sue, Angela & Julian just want to say how much they enjoyed their 3 night stay at Beili Stable near Monmouth. Dave & Cathy were just brilliant hosts. Situated in a beautiful but peaceful location on a working farm it just allows a real chance to de-stress. A visit to Monmouth, Abergavenny & Hereford are just so easy from this perfect location. We will be back with friends and anyone reading this review would be mad not to give this place a try. Well done Cathy & Dave. Love to you both.

Cosy, comfortable barn with stunning views.
Really lovely accommodation which served our holiday needs well. Nice clean linen, all basic utensils available. Cathy was very welcoming and going out of her way to ensure all our needs were met in getting a great holiday. Barn was cosy and very comfortable to stay in. A good base for sightseeing Monmouth, Hay on the Wye and venturing out further afield if you wanted. We visited Tewksbury and Broadway as these are our favourite haunts and well recommended. Pity the weather wasn’t very good at the start of the holiday which prevented my husband from fishing due to the river levels being so high but we are hoping to return in the Springtime when hopefully the weather will be a bit more pleasanter. Didn’t stop us enjoying the holiday though. Thank you Cathy and Dave. Excellent hosts!!
