"Service from Katerina at the buffet breakfast restaurant was exceptional. She brought us tea in a tea cup each morning. She was pleasant and accommodating. Food was good. The only thing I would suggest is having a pot of coffee in the lobby for early risers."

"5 stars! The Elea Mare is a fabulous value in an authentic Greek coastal village, run by a host (Greg) who personifies customer care. Explore the side streets and alleys. Get lost. The hike to the upper town is long, steep, and slippery so be prepared.

One of our favorite places in Greece. We spent 3 hours hiking around the ruins in Upper Town. We went swimming just outside the sea gate. No beach but lovely. There are no cars allowed in town so it's a nice place to walk and hang out.

Is is a dream place. Literally a castle in an island. It is rather quiet in winter, many restaurants where closed during the week. Excellent dinner at Voltes (right at the entrance of the castle). Walking up to the Citadel was worthwhile the view.
