"We loved being in this little village. The house has been very well renovated and is very comfortable. Our host and owner was so great to give us lots of information about hikes and things to see. The village has no restaurants or grocery stores so make sure you go shopping before you arrive."

"The place is located in a very nice rural property, where you can enjoy nature, but not far from groceries and restaurants and a well located place to travel to the coast. The manager is very nice. The apartment is well equipped and we enjoyed the evening and breakfast on the terrace."

"For anybody thinking that this will be a 'charming' rustic experience - please reconsider! We were unable to stay here - the place was musty and dark with poor cooking facilities and a layout that didnt work for us - the terrace was unusable due to mosquitoes and we couldnt open windows to air it out for same reason. We are used to camping and would prefer a tent to this accommodation. At 200 Euros a night it is hardly BUDGET - and fell well below our expectations. We didnt even last 15 minutes...

"We loved the old school building renovated with an eye for detail and all modern comfort. The location is great, half an hour's walk from the beach. Lekeitio is a pleasant town. A wonderful base to get to know the Basque nature and culture. Anne and Kerman are very hospitable and were always available if necessary. We enjoyed our moments together...their stories and hospitality !!"

"We met the owner at a nearby hotel since the short drive up to the house would have been difficult to find. Lasarte-Oria is not a tourist Mecca but San Sebastián isn’t too far away and taking the train is the best way to get there. "The entire experience was absolutely fantastic. We had such a great time, and were only sorry that we hadn't been able to book more time here. The house is wonderfully laid out, especially for larger groups or if you had multiple families. Every amenity you might need. The views are amazing. We even walked down into Getaria one afternoon (the walk back up would be a hike, but doable! Best not done in the dark though). All in all, fantastic on every level. Would absolutely recommend."

"We had a great time! Great location. We loved the walks, the incredible waterfalls, local medieval festival in Estella, a Pamplona visit on a rainy day and eating, a lot! "This was a perfect home for our group of 6 (2 young children, 2 parents, and 2 grandparents) tucked away in the hills. It was conveniently located for day trips in the surrounding area. We spent wonderful afternoons lounging in the yard reading and watching the horses graze in the pasture right below us. Great kitchen, comfortable beds, and pleasant rooms for relaxing and visiting. The drive up the narrow road leading to the home seemed surreal. Couldn’t recommend the place more."

"Our group consisting of 6 people stayed at Ulle Gorri at the end of September. The place is ideal to explore Basque country, we’ve made daily trips to Bilbao, St Sebastian, Guernica, Gaztelugatxe, Getaria, Vitoria Gasteiz etc. The house and surroundings is mesmerizing, with its calm and beauty. The owner of the house Ana was very helpful and friendly, introduced the house and the surroundings in detail, answered all of our questions.
