Large Vacation Home Across from Lake Superior & Short Walk to Lighthouse!!

In the picturesque town of Eagle Harbor, on Lake Superior in the Keweenaw Peninsula of the Upper Peninsula of MI (the U.P.), is this impressive stately home, charming and comfortable. A sandy walking and swimming beach is just across the street. View of mountains and water from almost every room. New addition in 1996, connects the historic charm with remodeled and newer. Cheerful and sunny enclosed porch. 4 bedroom (beds for 10), 2 bath, formal dining room with large dining table, living room, large kitchen has dishwasher, microwave, toaster oven, all dishes, pots and pans. Everything you would want in a kitchen is there, or you can always make the short two block walk to the wonderful Eagle Harbor Inn. Two TV's with cable, Netflix, Disney+, and DVD players with a collection of movies in the home. A gas fireplace in family sitting area opens to a large back deck. One car attached heated garage. Washer and dryer.

Near sandy beaches and across the street from a wonderful swimming beach. One block from Park/Playground. Bike, Hike, ATV, four-wheeling, snowmobile trails, cross country ski trails, downhill skiing, snowboarding, National Parks, close to Ferry to Isle Royale, Historic lighthouses, Fort Wilkins, Northern Lights, Antiquing, Berry Picking, Rock picking, Quincy Mine & Delaware Mine, Ghost Towns, waterfalls, Golf, Mount Bohemia, VooDoo Mountain near Calumet, Copper Harbor and Houghton/Hancock, & Michigan Tech, Calumet, Brockway Mountain.

This place was exactly as advertised! Nice small town feel with great views of Lake Superior! The area is beautiful and offers lots to see and do. Would love to go back to the UP some day!

Cozy home, great location.
Our stay was excellent. The kitchen had all the supplies you could need. House was clean. Check in and check out was a breeze. We had a great time exploring the UP. This is a great place to stay!

Relaxing stay
My family really enjoyed our stay at your house. The neighborhood was very quiet and we liked that the lighthouse was only a couple blocks away from us. Great access to copper harbor and trails nearby. Staci was quick to answer any questions that we had at the house. We loved the history of the old house and all of the old paintings from a previous artist that once lived there. Thank you again for a wonderful stay!

Perfect for multi generational groups
This home has a grandparents suite with bath on the first floor, and upstairs bedrooms (3) with a bath for the younger family members. Both areas are discreet, but the family can cook and eat together in a shared space. The lighthouse and beach are very short walks away

Just a great place in the best little town in the UP. Sitting on the porch watching the world go by. Close to the monks and Jampot bakery, jam, candy,coffee and good company. Thanks for the nice place.

Bohemia ski trip
Had a great time at a great house for our annual Mt Bohemia ski trip. The house was plenty spacious for our group of 6 guys. We cooked dinners in the well stocked kitchen, watched the lions take out the packers in the large family room, and enjoyed a fabulous dinner at near-by Fitzgeralds. Perfect spot for a big group ski trip!

Very nice home
Clean, comfortable, big enough for 7 of us, and could have been comfortable with the 3 others who were missing. Location is great! We had a great time, loved the games, puzzles, views etc. Kitchen is well equiped and big enough to make meals. Beds were comfortable and linens nice. We will definately consider staying here again. Annual Boho adventure
Stayed at the Eagle Harbor house for the 3rd time for our anniall boho trip. Although the weather didn't cooperate, we enjoyed the house as usual. Plenty of room for a group of guys, stocked kitchen for making meals, and fast streaming for those days that the lifts don't open. We walked to a nice hiking trail up Mt Baldy from the house, and enjoyed lunch and beers at Eagle Harbor Inn afterwards. Of course, if you're in the area don't miss Fitzgerald's for dinner! We're sure to be back...

Another wonderful weekend in paradise!
We returned for our 8th annual visit to the Keweenaw to ski Mount Bohemia, and stay in Eagle Harbor. This VRBO is perfect for our group. The sleeping arrangements are great, and we spent many hours sitting around the dining room table talking, or relaxing in the living room. We were even treated with catered meals that were delicious and a great value. And of course, the Eagle Harbor Inn is a short walk away. We'll be back next year!

Ski trip
We had a excellent experience at this property. Everything was perfect for our trip. I have stayed in a lot of Vrbos and this bye far was the best. From the short walk to wonderful dining to the short walk to a scenic lighthouse to the best stocked kitchen for cooking that I have seen to the popcorn machine. It goes on and on. Thanks Staci. We hope to be back next season.

Perfect place, Perfect location
This house was so perfect for our group. The kids could play games and ride scooters around the neighborhood. The beach was wonderful and right across the street. It was so convenient. There was so much in the kitchen! It really had everything you need to cook with. We didn’t have to bring a thing! And a grill!!! We also enjoyed the fire pit in the back yard. It was just an all around nice stay!

If I could give it a 6, I would
We have been coming up to stay at Eagle Harbor to ski at Bohemia and enjoy winter in the UP for the past 6-7 years. This property works perfectly for us, as it has a lot of room, and feels like a home-away-from-home. We've seen other properties, but we don't think that we can do any better than where we've been staying. So we plan to return in 2022.

A beautiful home in a great location
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay for the week. We wanted to experience and explore the Keewenaw for more than a couple days. This home had everything we needed and then more. The most well equipped kitchen of any VRBO we’ve ever stayed in. Stacie and Deiter thought of everything! Comfortable beds, great supply of linens, pillows, towels etc. The deck and fire pit out back were great. Lots of time sitting on the front porch with our coffee in the morning and a glass of wine at night. We hope to return soon, thank you for sharing your home!

Family Vacation
Nice and spacious, perfect for a family gathering. Walkable to the lighthouse and beach, views of the harbor. Prominent location. House was well stocked with all we needed, a huge benefit given the remote location of the village. Welcome gifts were a thoughtful surprise. Having a washer and dryer was a great factor. Mosquitos are rough, depending on the time of year, but the house was spacious enough and well equipped to make up for the extraordinary indoor time when the clouds of north-wood’s mosquitos were at their worst. Would recommend.

Snowmobile heaven
We had a great time, the snow came and we rode for 6 days straight. The groomers here are excellent! The only bad part was the bars and restaurants weren’t open except for takeout. The house worked great for all of us, Staci was the best! It was equipped with everything we needed-especially since we had to prepare more meals. The location of the house was also good, close to the lighthouse, the eagle harbor Inn and the snow trails. We hope to come up next year to snowmobile again! Thanks for all the Michigan goodies too, Stacie!

Loved the Front Porch
The beach water of Eagle Harbor is visible from the spacious front porch. We started our day with coffee here, and ended our evenings here. A short walk to the beach with our kayaks, and a short walk to the lighthouse platform to watch the sun set. Huge house, didn't have to worry about waking up the rest of the house in the morning. Every utensil or kitchen product you need is there. Staci and Dieter have thought of every thing. Thanks.

If I could give it a 10, I would!
We've been coming up to ski at Mount Bohemia for the past 8 years, found this place in our second year, and have been coming back every year since. It's only a 20 minute drive to the ski hill, and the location in Eagle Harbor is spectacular. The rooms are large and comfortable, the kitchen, dining room, and living room feel just like home. The kitchen is supplied with everything you need, plus this year, Staci catered homemade dinners that were delicious, and more than enough for 8 guys. We'll be back in 2023, guaranteed.

Friendly community
Talking with locals and learning about the history of Eagle Harbor and environs was the best part of our visit to the UP. People were friendly and relaxed. The rental property is well positioned to the big Lake and the town. A local told us that the property is referred to as the “Willoughby House” the former owners. Their son was an artist and many of his works are displayed throughout the house. There is a deck in back with privacy and lots of sun all day long. Nearby is a fire pit which works very well. The kitchen is very well equipped and we never lacked for the right tool or dish. Be sure to visit the monastery Jampot store 5 miles west on M26.

Spacious, clean, quiet location with beautiful scenery right out the front door.
This house is spacious and has everything you need. Mornings were spent on the front porch or Eagle Harbor beach. Afternoons were spent exploring the Keweenaw area from Houghton to Copper Harbor and everything in between. Evenings were spent relaxing around the dining room table playing board games after watching the sunset at the lighthouse. The home is very clean, comes fully stocked with linens, towels, bathroom necessities, and kitchen supplies. The house is nicely decorated, welcoming, and offers a lot of space for your personal items. Our group included four adults and three older teenagers. We all had ample space to move around the home, get comfortable, and enjoy our time in Eagle Harbor. Thank you to Staci and Dieter for providing an amazing space for others to enjoy.
