Very convenient for Mirissa beach and whale watching tours! The rooms are very basic but have all you need if you're just sleeping there.very friendly and helpful staff.

Good place, near to beach. But..!
But the name is wrong. It suppose to be Sawa Arana, not Villa BnB. And the picture is not really accurate, slightly disappointed as I thought it is nicer. If you want room with aircondition, better double confirm with the hotel, as you might rent a wrong room. An upgrade for non ac room to ac room will be around LKR 2000. But overall it is good place to stay, very friendly host, didnt manage to eat their breakfast due to our morning activity, but I heard from my other friend it is good. Very near to the beach, around 50 meter from the hotel.

Ved ankomst var vores booking ikke registreret. Efter meget tovtrækkeri, hvor ejeren bla. påstod at hotellet aldrig havde samarbejdet med Hotels.com, og lang ventetid blev vi indlogeret på et nærliggende hotel på værtens foranledning, og kunne få vores egentlige værelse til nat nr. 2 i Mirissa. Meget uprofessionelt. Sidste aften bookede vi på egen hånd en taxi til at transportere os videre den følgende dag. Aftale om engelsktalende chauffør og van med A/C. Om morgenen havde hotelejeren så overtaget den tjans og havde sat en af sine folk til at køre os i en mindre bil uden A/C og med en chauffør der ikke kunne et ord engelsk, og på ingen måde kunne finde vej. Vores tur endte med at tage 9 timer, og skulle have taget 4½-5 timer. Undervejs talte jeg flere gange i telefon med ejeren, der konsekvent nægtede at tage ansvar og beskyldte alt og alle for sine egne manglende kompetencer. Vi har intet at udsætte på personalet i driften, men sønnen/ejeren der er den eneste engelsktalende er en hustler af værste kaliber, og burde ikke arbejde med turisme.

Mysig stor familj välkomnade oss till deras hotell ca 500 meter från Mirissa Beach. Vi blev uppgraderade från ett Standard rum till deras Svit med AC och balkong. Familjen hade en traditionsenlig festhelg och stor bjudning i trädgården i trädgården och välkomnade oss att äta rice and curry med dem. Var här under lågsäsong i oktober 2017

Vi spenderade sju dagar på Suwa Arana och var väl i helhet nöjda med upplevelsen. Rummet var fint och relativt rent, familjen som äger hotellet kändes snurriga och vi fick känslan av att vi var i vägen. Frukosten var skaplig och vårt wi-fi var uruselt men läget var bra och Mirissa var fantastiskt.
