"We loved this hotel! Beautiful! Room was great. Free saki bar at night was fun. Right in the middle of the charming old town. Also, walk over and make reservations at the burger place right behind the hotel - delicious!! We would do a little shopping then swing back to the hotel, then head back out. Family Mart was right next door for snacks and drinks. It was a great stay."

"Beautiful hotel, not really close to the main activities, but it was about a 15-20 minute walk (doable for some). The room was amazing, we stayed at the Japanese traditional room with an outside bath and it didn’t disappoint. Also the buffet breakfast was really good. I’m very critical of buffet food and I was very pleasantly surprised with this one. "

"The breakfast was very good. The room was relatively large and had a nice bench seating area. We were able to walk from the train station and to the bus station for Shirakawa. The hotel seemed to have plenty of parking, though we did not use it. They had loaner umbrellas by the front door."
