"Fifth weekend stay here in 18 months. Now rebranded as Orange Grive Hotel. Preferred the former name of Coldeast Mansion. Same owner. New branding. Paid for room on Hotels.com and got the best rate compared to other apps. I was asked to leave a credit card number and stated it was policy for charging items to room. Bedroom was clean and fresh with windows open (November 2024). But a very squeaky bed. Comfortable but very noisy. No aircon. Very small panel electric heater. And old...

"Basic hotel but the breakfast was really good and it was in a good location."

"Good communication with instructions for self-check-in. All was as described. Single room with everything I needed for one night. I wish there was a fan, but no other suggestion. Easy walk from the train station. "

"Was comfy and area was good. If it hadn't have said that I had a bath shower rather than just a shower it wouldn't have been an issue but just a heads up if that's important to you. Bring your own coffee etc as there's literally just one pod and the room wasn't cleaned for the 5 nights I stayed. Pleasant but basic hotel with no amenities but if you just want to spend a few days by the seaside it's perfect "

"It was terrible!!! Can’t contact anyone to get the key!!!They are not organized !!! Even finally have someone answer the phone and give me the lock box number and that was no key inside!!! We waited two hours have no one call us back !!! At the end we go to another Inn to stay!!! We need our MONEY BACK "

"Shame place not open Monday and Tuesdays so can’t comment on service other than that they were great at the initial emails and the instructions were easy to follow. Nice room. Didn’t see where WiFi information was so can’t comment on WiFi. Enjoyed my stay. Felt homely. Loved being so close to the beach to go for a morning walk before I left. "

"This place was not at this address! There was only an old raggedy looking red brick building there. Very run down in a bad neighborhood! "

"We have just returned home from an excellent 5 night stay at Balincourt. Staff were always friendly and helpful. The accomodation was top class and the breakfast options very good. The location couldn't have been more convenient with bus stops adjacent and a pub opposite."

"What a brilliant place! Fantastic room with additional sleeping area for our teen. Great to have cooking facilities and a dishwasher plus a dining table. Super long couch. Lovely view over a park. We will definitely stay again if we are in Southampton or in one of their other properties in the UK. Good value for money. "
