Was up north for a fishing tournament and this was a great central location to stay and relax after long days on the water. Will stay there again in the future!!!
My husband’s grandma had a cabin on lake Minocqua when we was growing up so we spent a few days in the area. His two sisters joined us. It was fun to see all that is the same! The house had great space for 8 of us with plentiful parking.
I am 99% sure we were the first to stay at this cute remodeled rental! Everything was brand spanking new! Very Comfortable beds and pillows! One of the closets in a bedroom fits a pack n play for Xtra space perfectly.
We had a property thru a VRBO owner fall through and had to find a place for 6 people to sleep for 5 nights / 6 days. Found the Cedar Chalet available and we really enjoyed our stay. The place was clean and secure just off the highway entering town. Great location, walked to shopping, and water ski show. Only negatives were space to eat comfortably for 6. The table and bench in the kitchen did not work well for our family We also had 3 girls with us and vanity and mirror space were not adequate.
Within walking distance to downtown Minocqua made this a great location for our family trip. The twenty-something’s got to walk to all the bars and enjoyed the late night entertainment. The middle aged got to hang out at the fire pit. Our daughter visited for an evening with our grandchildren and the only drawback was that the road is very busy. You have to keep a very close eye on young children. Very much enjoyed our trip there however!
The property appears to be nearly new as did the furnishings. We were impressed with so many things that were provided from the soft fluffy towels, comfortable beds and pillows, to a working ice maker in the freezer...it is a really nice space. It was great to be able sit out in the evening around a fire, a front and back deck to relax on and so much more. The only reason we gave the location a 4 is there was a little more traffic noise than expected but it still worked for us and was convenient to town. There were just the 4 of us but it would definitely work for a larger group considering the six additional beds and a family room in the lower level. Also, a shout out to the property manager, she was very responsive and answered any questions quickly. We would stay here again.
What a lovely surprise. This is a typical lake cottage from the outside in a great location to get to anywhere in the Northwoods. But it’s the inside that is spectacular. Great use of space. A prime example is the kitchen table. Enough to fit ten even though it is a galley kitchen. Even though of a busy road you don’t hear the noise. The downstairs bunk area is perfect for the younger crowd. Would love to have some beach towels and some extra pillows but such comments are only meant to create a ten star stat and not a criticism.
We usually stay at cabins on lakes outside of town. We thought we would stay close to town since we had 4 teenagers in our group this time. It was really nice being so close to town. The teens were able to shop and do things on their own and we could walk to dinner, Torpy Park and activities in town. The Bearskin Trail was really close as well and we were able to go for scenic walks/jogs in the area. It was also nice to be able to bypass all of the traffic in town for the holiday weekend by taking back roads just south of town. We enjoyed making s'mores by the firepit one night. The kids really enjoyed the basement bunk room. The only negatives that I have to say about the place was there was not a large enough table to accommodate all of us for cards/board games and not enough towels or places to hang them. They could also use some luggage racks in the bedrooms and blackout curtains. Sunrise around 5 am every morning was a bit too bright for us in all 3 sleeping rooms. The kitchen was not designed for cooking and eating large family meals, but it was easy enough to eat at nearby restaurants or run to the Shell station for snacks and drinks. The addition of a foosball or gaming table downstairs would be really nice for rainy days, especially since we didn't have much space for cards. Another fridge in the basement/laundry room would also be a nice improvement. We would definitely stay here again!
We were visiting family who own a home less than 15 minutes away in Woodruff. We always try to be there when their two adult kids and families come to town for an annual three generation reunion. In the past, we've scrounged up a couple of hotel rooms, but we were lucky to find this house to accommodate our three teen children, their grandmother and us. We can't imagine ever settling for a hotel room again. This house is adorable on the outside and stunningly spacious on the inside. The downstairs is particularly impressive and smartly designed, with the bunk beds containing individual lighting, cubbies and outlets for charging devices. The decorations inside the house are very clever and fun to look at, while also giving helpful information about the area. The house is spotless. It is charming, while also having well placed flat screen tvs for filling downtime or catching a game in rooms that have ample space for everyone to watch. The house is positioned right off the busiest highway, but various outside seating arrangements are set up so it's barely noticeable. Plus in our case it was ideal for stepping right outside to catch the 4th of July parade, and we enjoyed taking several walks across the bridge into town. The property manager was quickly responsive and helpful the couple of times we reached out with small requests. We will absolutely look to see if this property is available the next time we come to town.
