I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at an Vrbo property this past weekend, and I must say that it was far from what I expected. As a long-time VRBO member, I have always had positive experiences, but this particular stay left me deeply disappointed.
Upon arrival, we were greeted with a disheartening sight - pet hair scattered throughout the entire place. It was evident that the cleanliness of the property had been neglected, making it difficult for us to feel comfortable and at ease. The presence of pet hair was not only unsightly but also raised concerns about the overall hygiene of the accommodation.
Beyond the issue of cleanliness, the property was filled to the brim with personal items, leaving us with no room to even place our own belongings. It felt as though we were intruding on someone's cluttered living space, rather than staying in a rented accommodation. This lack of space and organization added to our frustration, as we had no choice but to search for an alternative place to stay shortly after arriving.
As someone who has been a loyal VRBO member for over five years, I have always appreciated the accurate descriptions and transparency provided by hosts. However, it seems that the owner of this particular home didnot represent their property accurately in the ad. It is essential for hosts to clearly communicate when their listing is a residence especially if it is filled with personal belongings and lacks the necessary space to put our items
