Heather & Ryan were fabulous to deal with. The location and neighborhood was nice with easy access to attractions. The house was very clean and comfortable. Will definitely stay there again !!!
We enjoyed our stay very much. The couch was truly perfect for family movie night. It was bright and cheerful lighting with subtle decor, which equals wonderful relaxation.
*we had a glitch with checking in and communication, but it was quickly resolved -so four stars seems fair and honest.
Legacy trees. Early-century houses. Very quiet and peaceful. Everything about the house was well-done. Attic bedroom ceiling is too short for tall people, but I didn't need it so didn't mind.
Paper supplies were plentiful, as well as towels, dishes, glasses, cups & cutlery. Improvement needed for pots and pans, no cookie sheet or mixing bowls (just 1 huge bowl). Only 3 bar stools for 4 guests. Missed the normal dining table.
Otherwise, the home had everything-great appliances. Loved the large glass walk in shower .
From the point of ordering to the point of checking out. Everything was quick and easy. As for the property it was just as described with plenty of stock for us to use. The kitchen restroom and bedrooms were a perfect size for what we needed. Our favorite part was the living room kitchen and dining area. It was all open and we could cook eat and talk about our outings. If I would make any suggestion is that they get more chairs for the island in the kitchen./dining area. We had 4 guest booked and only three chairs to dine in.
There are some stores for shopping and restaurants within walking distance so that was nice. The neighborhood was very chill and quiet and didn’t seem to mind our noise level day or night. I would definitely consider staying here again on a future visit.
We had an exceptional stay at the Modern Refuge. The home was exactly as adverised and offered a good assortment of necessities and niceties to support our daily needs.
The home is in close proximity to the various amenities (i.e. brew pubs, cafe, coffee shops, and local grocers) and was only a short walk to the LRT - making navigation to the main venues very manageable during our 5 days in Minneapolis - from the Airport and Mall of America to the Sports Stadiums and Fields. Another bonus is it's proximity to the ageorge Floyd Memorial, where King Demetrius Pendelton guides you through the events!!
Heather was a fantastic communicator during our stay and provided us with quick yet thorough replies when we reached out.We will certainly look to rebooking if/when we return to Minneapolis in the future.
My son and i stayed at the Modern Refuge so that he could have surgery in Minnetoka. The cute duplex was conveniently located to all things Minneapolis has to offer. The safe neighborhood is close to a market less than a block away to get groceries and a mile from the George Floyd memorial. My son and i enjoyed our stay. Heather and Ryan could not have been more helpful. They respond immediately to any questions or concerns. We did not have any issues. I highly recommend this place!
Let me start by saying, the pictures don’t do this property justice…and those pics are beautiful. Upon walking in you are instantly greeted with a warm welcoming vibe that feels like a country cabin dropped in the middle of south Minneapolis. Honestly the shower itself really could be the selling point, but the open floor plan with the sectional sofa, kitchen island, and large loft area were perfect for our small group. 4 of us stayed for 5 nights and not once did we feel like we were on top of each other. We were there for a national kickball tournament and with this property being centrally located between the tournament at lake nakomis and the events downtown, we couldn’t have been in a more convenient spot. The hosts were as kind as can be and super communicative as well. Given the chance to visit again will 100% try rebooking here again. Especially for a romantic getaway with my partner. Thank you again for the perfect stay!
