Great fishing! Large one bedroom Mother-in-law apartment located 20 minutes West of Minneapolis. Bedroom has direct access to the deck. Spacious kitchen/dining room, living room with large windows providing a gorgeous view of the lake. Private entrance, 2 full baths and laundry. Huge deck facing the lake. 1500 acre park across the street with hiking trails, golf course and swimming beach.

Beautiful area!
We enjoyed watching the water activity on Lake Independence. Larry was a very good landlord. There are many great restaurants nearby, so it was a convenient place to stay.

Relaxing stay!
We feel rejuvenated and relaxed after spending a week at this property. It was just as described. The view of the lake was even better than I imagined from the pictures. The location is great.

Great Stay
The house was very clean and nice. The owner Larry was extremely helpful and nice. On our last day there, we had boat trouble. Larry brought out his tools and was helping us get everything fixed. We had a great stay.

Great location
This was in a perfect location, great view from the deck, very close to paved cycling/walking trails and a very nice park with a beach and boat launch. Great deck. Larry was a good host, quick to respond when we needed something, good to deal with, and let us fish off of his dock. Also had great ribs at Forkless, which is nearby. Would stay again.

Larry was an excellent host. He greeted us upon arrival and departure. And he offered great recommendations for dining in the area. And we really enjoyed the great view from the large deck.

Cozy MIL Quarters at the Lake
Larry was extremely accommodating. There were a couple of items that needed to be fixed throughout my 2 week stay, and Larry had them fixed immediately. It is a quiet, serene location with direct access to the lake. Highly recommend!

AMAZING HOME AWAY FROM HOME!
I cannot say enough! This place overlooking the lake had absolutely everything one would need! Clean, spacious, comfy, perfect location !! Other than the food items we purchased, everything and I do mean everything was provided!! Owner very gracious !!:) Would stay here again in a heartbeat!! LOVED IT!!

Larry is friendly, accommodating and responsive. It's a beautiful location with a lake view and a park within walking distance. Our 1 yr old loved it too! Larry even caught a fish for him. Thanks!

Just as in the description. Fantastic view from every window. Walk to parks, trails, beach, fishing, and boating. Seamless booking and every detail handled by owner Larry! Everything is close, but area appears around house is filled with nature. A+++

My Brother and I had a lovely time. Larry indicated that a pillow was missing from the day bed. Neither my Brother or myself removed any pillows from the property. Unfortunately, we did not count the pillows when we arrived.

Exactly What We Were Looking For
Great communication with owner. He made sure we had everything we needed. Location was wonderful. Beautiful view of the lake. Pleasantly surprised by the roominess. Target was just a few minute drive for groceries/snacks. I was worried that my kids were too noisy during their nightly Monopoly games but owner said we did not disturb him at all. If you are looking for a "rustic" hotel alternative, this is your place.

A little German away
We celebrated my husband's 50th birthday by being someplace close to home; but not too close. My husband enjoyed fishing off the dock and relaxing on the deck with a beautiful view of the lake.

Spectacular view and space
Lovely spacious lake view apt, overlooking lake, attached to the house, but sufficiently private with access to the deck and close to great hiking area, Baker Reserve, restaurants and short easy drive from city. The kitchen was well stocked with ample kitchen table and dining table on deck as well. The one improvement would be a new mattress in the bedroom. However the mattress on the trundle bed was very comfortable.

Great break at the lake!
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Lake Independence. Larry had a beautiful bouquet of flowers on the kitchen table upon our arrival. The apartment had everything we needed. We spent a lot of time down by the lake watching the boats and had an Eagle fly over several times. We would recommend the property for anyone that wants time away from the cities.
