To the rear is an enclosed and private garden with lawned area and patio with outside table and chairs. A stream runs along the bottom edge of the garden, which has been fenced however children should be supervised at all times.
The former garage has been converted into a storage area, so it's not possible to park a car in there (pedestrian door only), but is ideal for secure storage of bikes, pushchairs, and for allowing muddy dogs to dry off before going into the house.
From the bungalow, it's a fairly level walk to the village where you will find all the usual village amenities. It's only a short walk (about 50m) to access footpaths leading to the coast and to joing a myriad of routes including to Porlock Weir, Bossington, Selworthy and more!
Parking
There is off-road parking on the drive for one car. It is possible to fit two smaller cars if you are happy to leave the gate open.

The region
Porlock is a wonderful working Exmoor village and boasts three pubs, two grocery shops, a traditional local butcher, chemist, cash machine, hardware shop, visitor centre, several art galleries and a range of independent restaurants, shops and tea rooms.
Porlock Weir is approximately 1.5 miles from Porlock and is well worth a visit. There are two restaurants (The Cafe and Miller's at the Anchor), a pub (all three are dog-friendly) and a range of individual shops such as tea rooms, Exmoor Glass and Studio 7 (imported beautiful textiles).
Many of the shops in Porlock and Porlock Weir are open during traditional hours of 9 am to 5 pm, although hours are often extended during the summer season. Conversely, some shops also reduce their opening hours out of season.
Minehead is the nearest town, approximately 6 miles from Porlock. Here you will find supermarkets and petrol stations (Tesco, Lidl and Morrison's are situated on the outskirts of the town and have longer opening hours), high street banks with cash machines, plus a range of other shops throughout the town.
