Great House for Large Gathering
We used Ricca's house for a bachelor party. The outdoor bar was perfect to hang out and watch college football all day.

Weekend getaway for 7 couples
Our group was 7 couples, getting away for a long weekend. Our plan was to arrive Friday afternoon, hang at the house, swim in the pool, and order in. Saturday we were heading to a couple breweries and then a Brewers & Cubs game. The location, size, and amenities of the house are great. I had communicated with Ricca several times before arriving and she was always very prompt and accommodating to our early check-in request. The house has everything you could possibly need regarding supplies, linens, kitchen utensils, etc. House is huge - we all had (very comfortable) beds and were able to spread out and have spaces to ourselves. Unfortunately the pool heater was broken during our stay so we were unable to swim. This was disappointing as that had been a major part of our plan for Friday and arriving earlier. The pool (looked) amazing and the poolhouse was great though. They also have an awesome firepit that we did use. This was different than about 10 other VRBO experiences we have had however, in that this property is their actual home. There are family pictures throughout the house, food in the fridges, etc. Some people in our group did not mind, but some were a little unnerved to be staying/sleeping in someone else's actual bed and having their things all around. We all had a fantastic time, and I do recommend the property for a large group gathering.

Ricca is very flexible on check in which helped us since we had ppl coming from different areas. The house has everything. From towels and pool floaties to every kitchen utensil you can think of. All kinds of board games. We had a great time there

Amazing!
We have rented many properties and this one was by FAR the best!! Ricca and Steve are so accommodating and nice! We couldn’t have asked for a better time with our friends! Oh ya and the pool guy Rick is awesome too! Shout out to applewood farms for the fun times we had!!!

Perfect Venue for a family reunion
We held our family reunion at Applewood Farm over the July 4rth Holiday and could not have been more happy with this venue. We have a large family with three generations attending. While the sleeping arrangements could only accommodate a couple families, the pool area, house and grounds comfortable handled our band of 37 attendees with there comings and goings - it never felt crowded. It really was the perfect venue and allowed us to hang out together for several days easily. Ricca and Tom were incredibly accommodating and helpful and made all the toys and tools available to really do this right. Plus its also close to several hotels and other amenities so no one needed to drive far if they did not stay on the property or to get something. Tom and Ricca really made us feel at home in their home.

Look no further, this is it!
I stayed at Ricca's beautiful property with 13 of my closest friends. We had an absolute blast and made memories to last a lifetime! Ricca was fabulous and showed us everything we needed to know about the property. When we had a question about the grill her husband came by right away to help us out. The pool and pool bar are INCREDIBLE. There were tons of rafts for us to use, too. We all would highly recommend and hope to stay again soon!

What a wonderful house and a wonderful weekend! We had a blast in the pool all weekend and the weather held up. We had all the amenities and room we could imagine. Such a fun space and the back yard is great! Thank you for letting us stay st your house!

I highly recommend this home!
The pool area here cannot be beat! There was plenty of beds for our guests to sleep and big common areas to hang out in. Ricca was wonderful and very accommodating to our needs and flexible with our check in and out times. We will definitely be returning!

A little piece of heaven
Wish we had more time to enjoy this beautiful place. We were in Milwaukee for our niece's wedding and had family come in from Florida and Washington state. It was great to be able to relax and enjoy our family gathering by the pool area. The house was absolutely charming. Plenty of room for everyone. Will definitely stay again. Thank you to our host for letting us enjoy a little piece of heaven.

Wedding weekend
Owner was so kind and helpful, showing us all around and making sure we had all we needed. This was a wonderful home for our sons wedding weekend. We were all comfortable and had tons of space. The distance to all the wedding events was perfect, only 30min to downtown .We hope to someday be back to enjoy that awesome pool. Thank you for making it perfect.

Wonderful Stay! Exactly what we were hoping for.
The house was perfect for our needs. The pictures don't do it justice. We had 19 people there and never felt crowded. The pool area is everything you could hope for from music, kitchen, bathroom, tv, etc. Having this house available in the future would make us consider coming to Milwaukee again even though we don't have much need to. We had a wonderful time. The property is gorgeous and the owners are very welcoming. Would definitely recommend for larger groups. The pool bar area was awesome for watching football and relaxing as a group. We spent most of our time in that area and the pool. Lots of games and pool toys available as well. Amazing weekend!
We hosted a bachelorette party for 15 people and had the most amazing weekend!! The pool was perfect! Heated, diving board, tons of pool chairs and pool floats (including a swan :) The pool side cabana had a little kitchen with a refrigerator / freezer and great counter space to set out food, and there was a bathroom right next to the cabana. And a karaoke machine!! And a TV to watch the game from the pool too. The house fit 15 people very comfortably, and the 4 bathrooms / showers were perfect. We also liked having a separate kitchen / bar area in the rec space inside. Overall it was a phenomenal weekend... wouldn't change a thing!

Lots of room and a pool!
This large totally updated farm house provided plenty of sleeping and connecting space for our women's retreat. The perfectly maintained pool was an awesome bonus. The orchard grounds are fun to wander around as well . Ricca, the owner, is friendly and helpful. There is a farm cat, that did not come inside while we were there, but people with severe allergies should be aware.

Wonderful = Outstanding
Over the years I have stay at many properties. Most were very nice, but this one was outstanding. It was all you could ask for and more. We were in town for a wedding and we were able to hold the bridal shower and rehearsal dinner there with plenty of room for everyone.We ended up spending a lot of time at the house because it was so nice. We loved the pool and the fire pit, I would highly recommend this property to anyone staying in the area. Choose this place first. The owners are wonderful wonderful people and a joy to meet. They go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable. Thank you for such a great experience Steve and Ricca. May God bless you both

Great family weekend
We stayed at Steve and Ricca's home for a family reunion. The location was great - easy trip into the city, the setting was lovely, the home gave us plenty of room to spread out and yet gather together to eat or play games, the pool and pool bar were the perfect place for everyone to relax and enjoy each others company. Ricca was a gracious hostess and we had everything we needed for a fantastic weekend. Thanks Steve and Ricca!

Large "homey" house & grounds with wonderful outdoor areas for group fun.
Attentive owners and an expansive place for bigger groups. Lots of amenities allow for a variety of activities and ways to enjoy the time there with one another. There is a cat, for those with allergies. Plan ahead with owner if you need storage space (drawers, cabinets, refrigerator).

What a lovely country retreat! Wonderful trip! Loved the generous spirit of the owners!
Home was large and great for our family reunion. Barn, orchard, and pool. Wonderful for lots of unstructured time together. We had a group of 7 extended family members aged 55-87. Perfect for all, and there was room for more. Ricca and Steve were wonderful to work with, very nice and approachable. Generous with their home, and they have an infectious enthusiasm for life.

The owners, Steve and Ricca, were very nice and their home was more than spacious enough to accommodate my kids and 6 grandkids. The problem arose when we got there and were informed that they had a cat that had to be let into the house to eat. I told Ricca that I was allergic to cats and she said they kept it out of the top floor bedrooms but not the master bedroom that my husband and I slept in. The cat was outside most of the time, but came to the back door when it wanted to come in and eat. Twice we all went to bed while the cat was still outside and my husband and I were awakened at 4:00 a.m. by the cat meowing outside the French door in the master bedroom wanting to come in. There was no mention of the cat on the VRBO website when I booked the house ( my daughter and I checked the website twice). I told Ricca she should put it on there for other people who may be allergic to cats or don't like cats or want to feed one when they are on vacation. If everyone in your party likes cats then this is a great rental for you.

Beautiful! And huge!!
The pictures do not do this home justice. It is massive. The grounds are beautiful. Our weather was not great, but we were still able to enjoy the spacious inside of this home. Plenty of space for the 16 guests we had with us this weekend. Absolutely recommend for anyone planning a trip to Milwaukee area!
