I liked the feel of going back in time however would like the creature comforts of home to not feel like I was stepping back in time. The mattress could be firmer, less furniture in the room( it was hard to see the tv where it was situated) the large hutch unit could be removed and the TV placed over the faux fireplace. The rocking chair could be removed also. I also found somethings unnecessary like fake flowers hanging on the doors etc. There was also a stain on the blanket on the bed and the toilet bowl cleaner was filthy.

Beautiful spacious rooms; big veranda and nice very large property facing the river; very friendly and helpful host. Only downside was the room was a little warm but cooled down later. This is probably unusual as the weather was ver hot

Mainly disappointed when we were given a room in the old, some what run down 3 unit motel in back instead of the main building as the listing indicates, We were not even offered to view the main building but was told we could use areas outside. Motel room was very clean but most furniture a lower standard. Room had 6 over head lights but most did not work. Just used the 3lamps in thr room. Bathroom was odd with blue tub and WC. Motel was OK for the price but I wouldn’t stay again in the motel. Main building looked very nice.

We stayed at this property before service is excellent the Proprietors are very pleasant very welcoming the combination is beyond our expectations the breakfast was exceptional I'd recommend it to anybody

It is a beautiful setting. We stayed in the motel part. It was very clean. Only 2 things to improve. A box of tissues in the room would have been nice, and the shower pressure was very low and the water kept switching between hot and cold. But we had a great time otherwise.

The place was...OK. Not much of a recommendation, I know, but that's all I have. The mattress was old and fairly worn out. Pillows were substandard. Both of these made quality of sleep mediocre. The room was somewhat dusty. Host was pleasant and helpful. He requests that guests make themselves at home. Unfortunately this means he runs around in his boxer shorts most of the time. Breakfast was well-done.

The owner was very friendly and when he realized we would have to leave before breakfast, provided us with coffee and yogourt! Our room was lovely the yard was beautiful, and all at a very affordable price!
