Great Place to relax!
This was by far the best place that we have stayed! This was definitely a hidden gem, Milton is a nice little town, everyone was very friendly. Many restaurants within walking distance Richard was the best host! We are already planning to visit next summer.

Absolutely Fantastic
Stunning suite with our own porch overlooking the beautiful garden. Walking distance to restaurants and Milton Theatre, where we saw a stellar performance of Anything Goes. Our host was extremely responsive. This place is a gem.

Immaculate home and attentive host!
We loved loved loved our stay in this stunning home. We stayed in the King Charles suite, which was equipped with everything we needed. The private balcony was the perfect spot to sip wine at the end of a long day. The sheets were so nice and comfortable. We look forward to staying here again!

Calming Environment and a relaxing stay!
If you are looking for a beautiful place to stay that is off the beaten path and close to so many fun activities then look no further than The Charleston! My wife and I stayed here for the first time and it was amazing! The room was gorgeous and the ambiance was calming and gave you a good beach vibe. It was 30 minutes from many different beaches and within walking distance to ice cream and good food!!

The best of both worlds
We loved our stay at this inn— old world comfort and charm with modern luxury and hospitality—beautifully and thoughtfully appointed rooms, with just the right amenities—coffee and tea, luxe hotel bathrobes, ironed sheets, and the vintage candy dish. Clean, quiet and comfortable, and just a short walk from the center of town. With friends close by, we look forward to our next visit… or I could just move in…

Beautiful Getaway
Immediately walking in, Richard was kind and attentive and had such a warmth about him, it made the property feel like home—it was extremely clean, and Richard went above and beyond to make us feel special and welcome throughout our stay. It was close to Lewes and Rehoboth, and Milton was a great town with amazing locals and good eats and brews. Cannot recommend this enough—it’s a beautiful getaway and perhaps the nicest place I’ve ever stayed!

The home is beautiful. Richard had every accommodation you could think of. We felt very special and the design of the home was perfect for our getaway. It’s all in the details
The Charleston at Milton Inn offered wonderful stay. It was very clean, in a wonderful location. Just all the expected things well: easily accessible parking, check-in, clean linens. But it’s really the details that elevated the stay. There was wonderful landscaping, hotel level bedding, beautiful decor and a kind host. Book without hesitancy.

Our Favorite Place!
This is the second time my husband and I stayed at Richard's amazing suite! Not only have we stayed at The Charleston of Milton Inn once before, we also sent my parents there for a getaway before returning ourselves in March. We found the King Charles Suite to be just as wonderful as our last visit! Not only is the suite beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean, Richard has stocked the kitchenette with everything you could need - coffee, cork screw, mugs, wine glasses, tea, plates, utensils. Richard even had a bottle of Pellegrino and cream for the coffee, in addition to several bottles of water in the fridge waiting for us when we arrived. Thank you, Richard, for another terrific stay in the Inn!!

We give this property 10 stars. It was a beautiful place with comfortable accommodations. A short drive to the local beach area and about 1/2 hour to Rehoboth Beach. Walking distance to town for food, and ice cream shop around the corner or just a stroll before heading back to sit on your private veranda for a relaxing evening.

Wonderful inn
The Charleston is located in a quiet and peaceful residential area in Milton, De, a charming little town. The inn is gorgeous. It was designed by the owner, Richard Siess, and every detail is perfect. Richard is also an artist and his beautiful paintings grace the walls. Richard is very accommodating and easily accessible. I can't remember when my husband and I were as comfortable and slept so well away from home. Truly a delightful experience!

Immaculate Suite!
We thoroughly enjoyed staying at The Charleston of Milton Inn! Richard was so accommodating and his Inn is absolutely beautiful. We loved having our coffee on the balcony every morning and exploring Milton and Lewes. Milton has great restaurants and a lovely downtown to explore. We are very picky when it comes to accommodations and Richard’s Inn exceeded are expectations! Not only was our suite immaculately clean and decorated, but even the sheets were ironed! The bedding was exquisite and pillows were so comfortable. We will definitely be back soon! Thank you, Richard for a relaxing experience!

A beautiful, comfortable retreat!
This property was absolutely gorgeous! It was decorated beautifully with the owner’s own artwork; everything was super clean; and the space was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was large with a great shower and oversized countertop to accommodate all my toiletries; the bed was nice and comfy; the large porch was a treat: and Richard thought of every detail - from makeup remover to honey for my tea to bedside clocks with built-in ports for cellphone chargers. The kitchenette was a nice treat too with a mini fridge, coffee pot, microwave, bottled water, etc. The grounds were beautifully manicured as well; there was ample parking; and several restaurants and shops within a 10-minute walk. I loved my stay here and would recommend to everyone. I hope to return! Thanks, Richard, for a lovely getaway.

King Charles Room
My husband and I had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful immaculate home for 3 nights. Every detail was perfection, the suite immaculately kept. Richard, the proprietor, was the friendliest host we have ever encountered. Always available. The grounds of this home are breathtaking. The art on the walls magnificent! If I could give more than 5 stars I would. This home cannot be beat. Close to everything yet quiet which is what we wanted. My husband and I hope to be back next year. Thank you again Richard for everything!

Totally worth your time, money, and stay.
I don't even know where I can start but Richard does an awesome job for your stay. Everything that he list in the description for this listing is true. The inn has easy access to not 1 but 3 beaches all within 15 - 35 minutes of each other. There is a great grocery outlet just down the road from the inn where you can shop for anything you need while your on vacation. There are multiple food locations within walking distance like home made ice cream shops and places to get a great dinner at. Lots of things you can do while if your on vacation in Delaware and this inn is in such a great location from everything. Richard is very friendly man as he offers any sort of help to make your stay more enjoyable. The room was as clean as it can be with added additions like multiple stream platforms for the tv and a VERY CLEAN BATHROOM, which is always pleasing for visitors. Me and my girlfriend are considering going back to Delaware and would most definitely come back here. What more can I say, Richard does a great job as a host, the room is beautiful, and the location is even better. We had such a good time here and if your thinking about renting this room for a get away, do it! Totally worth your time, money, and stay! Thanks again, Edward

Extraordinary! Super Clean, Beautiful place!
This is an absolutely amazing place! My Husband and I rent quite often to get away for long weekends and vacations. We have see many places and have met many owners. This I must see, must stay place. The owners are top notch, very accommodating and ready to make your stay enjoyable. They recently built this home that is just so beautiful and full of Southern Charm, you will not be able to stop looking at the architecture of how every detail was so thought out and made perfect. It gives you a warm feeing of comfort to experience. The place is spotless, roomy and they supply you with everything you need for your stay. Big Tile Bathrooms, Big Comfortable Beds, Large Balconies and a Perfect Sized Kitchen that supplies you with everything you need to make you feel at home. They really have thought of everything, and I mean everything, for a relaxing unforgettable stay . Richard was an amazing host, very intelligent, funny and wants to make your stay perfect. He is super friendly and has a great personality and so much charm. ( He is an amazing artist as well, check out the paintings...this is such a great place). You almost feel like you have gone back in time, with the Deep South Mansion, the Beautiful Yard and Garden, and of course the Hospitaly.....so relaxing and genuine. You will be missing out if you don't stay here and enjoy this place and the owners. It is a one-of- a- kind experience!!! We will be back every time we go to this area! My Husband and I Love....Love....Love...this place! Enjoy it, you deserve it. Oh, and the little town is really cool too. the people are really friendly. only a few miles to Rehoboth Beach. Perfectly appointed Southern Charm
Attached to the owners' home, our suite was super comfortable, clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated with antiques and the owner's artwork. Situated walking-distance to the charming downtown of Milton which offers dining, antiquing, live theater, hiking trails, etc. this home offered us a very satisfying getaway.
