240 Feet of Private Sandy Lake Huron Beach!

Welcome to Sandy Feet Beach Retreat!

Enjoy the large, one-acre property with 240 feet of private, sandy Lake Huron beach! Whether your vacation goal is to enjoy a northern Michigan summer at the beach, watch the leaves change to fall colors, or check out the ice fishing, snowmobile trails, and famous Mackinac blue ice, this is the location for you!

This recently renovated one-story beach house has three bedrooms and one and a half bathrooms, and outdoor beach shower, with an additional three-season sunroom and garage entertainment space. With 1650 square feet, there’s plenty of room for the entire family to relax. This beach retreat has a large, open dining/living room with a smart TV, gas fireplace, and eight-person dining table, great for entertaining big groups. The beautifully decorated master bedroom provides two queen beds, smart TV, half bathroom, and a gorgeous view of the lake. The two additional bedrooms are decorated in a northern Michigan beach theme; one includes a queen bed with bunk beds and the other a queen bed with space for a pack-n-play. Watch colorful sun rises, passing freighters, and soaring eagles from the enclosed sunroom facing Lake Huron. The sunroom provides a four-person table, perfect for your morning coffee or card game, a fold-out couch/bed, two single fold out beds, and additional seating to take in views of the lake. The house features a washer and dryer in the main bathroom; shower towels and hairdryer are provided via the linen closet. Entertain family and guests in our garage bar/entertainment room, perfect for those not-so-sunny days.

We provide many extras to make your trip more enjoyable, at no additional charge. Take full advantage of the water and sand with access to two sit-on-top single-person kayaks, one sit-on-top double kayak, paddles, life vests, several large coolers, and plenty of beach chairs. The spacious yard and beach are outfitted with a picnic table, beach swing, gas grill, and children’s swing set. Our beach-side firepit is perfect for roasting smores and watching the star-filled sky. If games are your thing, we provide horseshoes, ladder golf, molkky, ping pong, croquet, foosball, an electronic dart board, yard dice, frisbees, basketballs, and cornhole boards.

To make your stay more comfortable, we’ve supplied multiple fans throughout the house, a space heater, sleeping bags, extra pillows, blankets, two children’s highchairs, and a pack-n-play. Our kitchen is stocked with a variety of large pots, pans, serving plates, and grilling utensils; appliances include a blender, crock pot, toaster, crepe maker, griddle, dishwasher, regular coffee machine, and a Keurig.

The garage bar/entertainment room features a handmade wooden bar with stools, a lounge area, second fridge, 55-inch smart TV, Blue ray DVD player with many DVDs, Nintendo Wii, PlayStation 4, Bluetooth speaker, AM/FM stereo, plenty of board games, playing cards, poker chips, books of all kinds, drawing supplies, and more!

Our beach house is in the perfect location to easily explore the rest of what northern Michigan has to offer. Nearby, you’ll find access to plenty of biking and hiking paths, two boat launch sites ( 5 mins), and a network of off-road snowmobile trails.

Please be sure to bring beach towels, toiletries, extra paper towels, toilet paper, laundry soap, dish soap, and hand soap, as limited quantities are provided. Wii and PlayStation games are limited.
Guests will be provided a rental agreement with the house rules prior to check in. There is a strict no pet / animal policy due to medical issues with the host and host family members.

Book it!!!! The host has thought of EVERYTHING! The beach IS the backyard! The beach is clean and shallow, and was perfect for our first kayak experience. The sun room is so cozy. The living room coaches are comfy. The BEDS! The beds a great! Nice and plush!! The game room is perfect with everything to do. My family really enjoyed the options. The wifi is spotty at times, which worked out better for us, to be able to put our devices down and SEE each other, like we intended to here. That being said, we did stream movies with no issues during our movie marathon night. My son was able to play the video game online. This house has it all except the food. We stopped at a store on the way to the house to stock up for 5 days. We didn't leave to do anything esle. This place has 3 refrigerators! Great for stocking up for longer stays. Kitchen has everything for large meal prep and service. This was the perfect getaway for us all to be together in one place to relax and have fun, and put aside out hectic schedules! There are so many amenities here!! Kevin is a beautiful soul and a very gracious host. We're already thinking of when we can return to stay here again.

5th Annual Up North Michigan Summer Trip
My friends and I stayed at this property for our 5th annual up north summer trip and could not have been more pleased. Everything from the private beach to the spacious house and it's abundance of amenities made this easily one of the most fun-filled and memorable trips my friends and I have ever taken. Kevin was also a great host and was very easy to communicate with when needed. We are definitely hoping to stay here again next summer!

More than you can ask for
I truly wish I understood how fully equipped this house is. Board games, lawn games, children’s books, puzzles, coloring books, highchair, every cooking appliance known to man, kayaks, sand toys, you name it. We overpacked and found more than a weeks worth of entertainment in rain and sun. Enjoy this gem!!

Family Vacation
We had the most amazing stay at this property, 10/10! Trust me when I say there is no limit of things to do at the house. The garage and game room kept our kids busy day and night. The beach is perfect, and anything you would need for the beach is already there. Kevin was a fantastic host and we would definitely come back. This property is clean, cozy, and beautiful. If you are looking to walk out of a house and step onto a sandy beach, look no further.

Absolutely perfect Lake Huron piece of heaven
This property is not only a perfect location, with a gorgeous piece of sandy beach and gorgeous views, the house is simply wonderful! Very few steps (which was perfect for my 80+ years old parents), cute decor, and so very well equipped! Anything you can think of is already there…books, games, kayaks, chairs, fire pit, picnic table and even the perfect swing for sipping coffee and watching the sunrise!!! An adorable sun porch, very comfortable beds, furniture and huge beautiful kitchen table and looks like a newly renovated bathroom and very well-kept, perfectly stocked kitchen with new appliances and any kind of dishes you may need. Wonderful welcoming touches and adorable game room was perfect for the cooler days. Simply an amazing location to see all Northwest MI has to offer. I’d book this place again in a heartbeat…my favorite place to date, and I’ve spent years vacationing up in the upper and lower peninsulas. The owner was so kind and helpful (not that he left anything out in preparing a perfect vacation spot), and was quick to respond to any questions. Kevin was great and the sandy feet retreat is amazing and I’d give him and his property 10 stars if I could!! Book here and you won’t regret it!!!!!!!!

First Michigan Trip
This property was incredible- beach on one side, woods on the other. It was the best place for a family trip with it’s peaceful scenery, as well as a swing set and lots of fun things to do on the beach! The house was very clean and spacious, with lots of giant windows to view the nature outside. It’s about 15-20 minutes from Mackinaw, bike and hiking trails, shopping, etc. We highly recommend this rental home!

Absolutely wonderful!!
This home is perfect! Everything is updated and fresh. There was so much to do with the well set up rec room. We played ping pong, darts, disk golf and foosball. There were kayaks and a paddleboard and every size life jacket you could need. You step off the deck right into the deep sand of Lake Huron. My favorite was the knotty pine 3 season room and we spent a lot time there! My only wish is that it was farther from the road. Five star stay, for sure!

Perfect Getaway
My wife and I chose this home as a peaceful get-away from work. This was the perfect home. The weather was gorgeous- being the first week of September. We were able to do day trips to Petoskey, Mackinac City and Cheboygan. We spent much of our time relaxing on the deck and in the sun room - both with stunning views of the lake. The beds were comfortable and we appreciated the thoughtful touches throughout the home. The sunsets were our absolutely favorite part!

A peaceful retreat
This home on Lake Huron is an absolute gem! The pictures don't do it justice. The first time you drive in, you’re just smiling ear-to-ear at the lovely view of the water right at your doorstep. The beach is sandy and the water just takes your breath away. There’s a wooden swing beckoning, a picnic table, and a fire pit calling you to some leisurely evenings around a fire. The house is big enough for everyone to spread out and also open enough to share space together. It is light and airy with an openness to the big lake that is so alluring. The furnishings are comfortable and the bedrooms well appointed. The spaces are all clean and inviting. The garage and “downstairs” rooms have space that will thrill the kids. You’ll find ping pong, yard games, videos, books, card games, board games, poker chips and activity nooks throughout the home. Look around and you will find something fun to do. Kayaks and life jackets of all sizes are provided. Swimming, kayaking (a local shipwreck is about 2 miles to the north along the shoreline), walking the beach, collecting rocks—all of this is right here. Some nice amenities included: - ample parking for multiple vehicles - sizable yard for playing lawn games, catch, running about - swingset for the youngsters - kitchen well stocked with cleaning supplies, etc. - ample shared spices and coffee/coffee filters/Kuerig cups to get you well into your stay - very good assortment of cooking utensils and pots/pans - good assortment of kitchen appliances to include a blender, toaster, crock pot, and more Things to do in the area: Ocqueoc Falls, state parks, the Huron Sunrise Bike Trail from PH Hoeft State Park, Cheboygan touring was fun, the Cheboygan Museum is a fun visit, (the old jailhouse was interesting and fun for all, even the kids), Mackinac Island (ride Shepler’s at certain morning sail times and you get a free experience of crossing beneath the Mighty Mac), several nearby lighthouses (most impressive was the New Presque Isle, but the Old Presque Isle, also worth the time, had some sizable bells you can ring). The evening here brings a dark sky experience for star-gazing, and the morning brings the sunrise. We would certainly recommend this house to anyone wanting a quiet space with room for togetherness. The owners were very responsive to questions. You will love what they are sharing!

Relaxing Family Getaway
This was one of the nicest properties we have rented so far through VRBO. The property was clean and had plenty of space for the kids and adults to spread out and have fun. The kayaks and ping pong table were a big hit! The cottage was far enough out of town to feel like we were in the woods on the lake but also close enough that we visited St. Ignace's Chimney Rock and The Mystery Spot one day and went to Mackinac Island another. Oh and the mattresses were really comfortable. That is always a plus when sleeping away from home for a week. We highly recommend this cottage!
