Weekend getaway for fathers and sons. We spent the entire time on the dock fishing and took advantage of the kayaks. Having a partially covered dock was great for the changing weather and the power at the dock allowed us to keep up with the football games. We would highly recommend this property and consider returning.
This house is in a very pretty setting on the lake. Plenty of room. Comfortable beds. And lots of them. Tidy. We didn’t cook but the kitchen seemed well-appointed. Beware there is a mandatory $1500 damage deposit or purchase of $60 damage insurance policy
We came to Milledgeville for my daughter’s wedding at the Dogwood Barn and it was amazing. The house worked perfect for some of the bridesmaids, my daughters and I to stay at. Thanks for allowing us to rent your place.
This VRBO is a nice lakeside property, located outside of Milledgeville. Fire pit, dock area and back deck are very nice. However, it wasn't especially clean or prepared for our stay. Linens were not in the restrooms, there was very little toilet paper, etc. It seemed like the property had not been prepared for our stay. I view of the cleaning fee, this was disappointing.
Great time at a beautiful lake. Beautiful dock where we hung out all day. Great boating and fishing! Large kitchen with Lots of dining space for large group. Cozy fire pit to gather and roast marshmallows.
Going to GCSU orientation the next day so stayed overnight. Nice clean place with a beautiful lake! A wonderful stay. The only thing that was a little inconvenient was there were no towels nor a small sample size of toiletries. Other than that it was a perfect stay!
The communication before the transaction went great.
Check in was smouth and house rules were simple.
I would use them again if I go back to the area.
To them thank you for letting us use your home.
When Thanksgiving break wasn’t long enough for my son to travel home easily, this lakeside retreat offered all the comforts of home without hectic holiday air travel. The bedroom areas provided plenty of cozy and comfortable spaces for everyone to enjoy some down time and rest. The well-equipped kitchen made preparing a holiday meal easy and the large table provided room for everyone. From gathering at the fire pit, to morning coffee on the dock, binge watching cooking shows in the family room, and gaming in the bedroom, our entire family found exactly what they needed to enjoy our time at Lake Sinclair!
Overall the house was very nice. It was large enough for two families. The bathrooms were a little dated but overall nice. Master bathroom toilet and shower area is tight but works. My only suggestion is to replace the hall bathroom toilet with a taller one for older folks with mobility issues. This house and location is awesome, especially for large families. We will definitely book again.
We had a destination Wedding Event at family property in Gray GA. We wanted a home that would accommodate upwards of 10 visiting family and friends from different parts of the country. Everything went well and all enjoyed their visit. It was nice to be able to have all our family together for this wedding event...weather was good, though not warm enough to enjoy water sports. But very beautiful place.

Surprised
Upon arrival all seemed well, once inside you could see the stains in the carpet in living room, and door leading from living room to deck would not lock from inside or outside had to use a chair to help secure. Dirt and dust behind doors in bedrooms and hall bathroom. Screen in area was dirty and ceiling fan rusty and did not work. Door from screen area broken. Overall needed some upgrades and cleaning, but location and area good. Plenty of towels, kitchen fully loaded, we made the best of the situation.
This is a great house overall. We, unfortunately, didn’t get the chance to enjoy it fully as it was a work trip. The backyard is incredibly peaceful and beautiful. The bedrooms/converted garage were nice. One issue was in the master bath where the shower door opens and covers up the water handles so it’s awkward to turn on, the cold water handle was very loose(difficult to work) and the light fixture was hanging. If those things are fixed it would get a perfect score!
We had a wonderful time staying here and celebrating my father-in-law’s 75th birthday. We spent time on the large dock, using the kayaks on the lake, playing games in the large front and backyard, cooking meals together in the kitchen, and relaxing in the living room watching football games. The converted garage bedroom with multiple beds was the perfect spot for putting all of the girl cousins together in one room. They had a blast playing the Wii that was provided. We also enjoyed how quiet and peaceful the neighborhood was, and how warm and friendly any neighbors we encountered were when we were out taking a walk. All in all, it was a great weekend making memories with family.
