"We were looking for a quiet, out in the country place to celebrate our anniversary and came across this quaint cabin just outside Monterey, VA. The cabin is cozy, and it worked well for just the two of us. We took advantage of the hot tub which was very well maintained. We also lit up the firepit on another evening while watching the moon rise over the hills. The cabin is just a few minutes from Monterey (which sits in the valley just below the cabin.) Monterey is a small but interesting town...

"Lynne and Buddy were amazing hosts! Everything was wonderful and they were so so helpful and accomdating. From the pictures, to the cooler and ice, even their generator lol. They even took us out on their pontoon boat! The view was amazing where we stayed. I booked it just for that reason, the mtns and the sunset. Def recommend! You guys rock! this place!"

"We had a very comfortable stay at Cottage on Craig Creek. The cabin had all the amenities we needed plus more. Inside and outside. The all window room has a beautiful view of the creek. The area is serene."

"Clearwater cabin is a great place to kickback and relax and enjoy the outdoors. The wrap around porch is wonderful to sit on and listen to the stream. We will have to come back in warmer weather to enjoy the fire pit and do some fishing."

"We come to West Virginia every year and have stayed at many cabins. I have to say this one is by far our favorite from the beautiful cabin, land and location. Not to mention the kitchen has everything we needed and we cooked a lot! Absolutely perfect, not to mention the property manager is quick and easy to talk to! I would give them 100 stars if I could! "We enjoyed the uniqueness of the Cabin. It was charming and old. The kitchen was well equipped. The beds were comfortable. My partner enjoyed the heater in the bathroom. :-) We loved that it was out in the country. We took advantage of the area; hiked the Chessie Trail and visited Lexington numerous times. Thank you. "

"Lovely inside and out. Poor lighting inside. The seclusion is a bit scary for suburban dwellers. Wouldn't suggest it for a snowy winter trip (gravel access road). "
