"We were very happy with our stay at the cozy cabin. One thing I would recommend is NOT requiring visitors to report to a location in the town to pick up keys and stay instructions. I think this could be simplified and not have guests frustrated before even making it to the property. Another cabiner said the same about improving the check-in process. Otherwise - peace and tranquility awaits. "

"We were looking for a quiet, out in the country place to celebrate our anniversary and came across this quaint cabin just outside Monterey, VA. The cabin is cozy, and it worked well for just the two of us. We took advantage of the hot tub which was very well maintained. We also lit up the firepit on another evening while watching the moon rise over the hills. The cabin is just a few minutes from Monterey (which sits in the valley just below the cabin.) Monterey is a small but interesting town...

"Lynne and Buddy were amazing hosts! Everything was wonderful and they were so so helpful and accomdating. From the pictures, to the cooler and ice, even their generator lol. They even took us out on their pontoon boat! The view was amazing where we stayed. I booked it just for that reason, the mtns and the sunset. Def recommend! You guys rock! this place!"

"Lovely inside and out. Poor lighting inside. The seclusion is a bit scary for suburban dwellers. Wouldn't suggest it for a snowy winter trip (gravel access road). "
