This modern and cozy standalone 1 bedroom guest home is set off from the street, quiet, spacious and comfortable. Skylights, windows and glass paned doors allow for an abundance of natural light.
The living space has a lovely view of the garden, cushioned cozy chairs and a couch that converts easily to a full size bed if needed. While sitting on the couch, lift the top of the custom coffee table to create a working desk or additional dining space.
There are no stairs to navigate so the space is easily accessible for all.
WiFi, large flat-screen TV that uses an HDMI hook up to your computer or a dedicated remote to hook up to Netflix and other accounts of your own. There is no cable TV unless you live stream, games, books and more are included to make you feel right at home.
The private bedroom is beautiful with an extremely comfortable queen size bed and spacious closet. Guests are raving about the bed and keep telling us they sleep great! We are frequently asked where we bought it. The blackout blinds and skylight shade are fabulous.
You will also find a twin blow up bed for an extra guest if needed.
Your private home has a full bath with tub and shower with a wonderful bright skylight over the tub to bring in lots of natural light. Both overhead and hand held shower heads are included.
The airy open style kitchen with all the amenities (see list below) you can think of have been provided so you can cook up fresh meals. We have a 4 burner gas stove and oven, along with a full refrigerator.
The custom mobile kitchen island can be rolled to face into the garden or the TV based on your mood.
During the warmer months feel free to relax in the back yard and enjoy a meal, cup of tea/coffee or glass of wine on your outside patio.
NOTE to longer term guests of 7 days or more. You may request cleaning service for an additional fee of $75. You may also use the washer and dryer in the main house free of charge once a week.
COVID SAFETY MEASURES: To ensure the safety and well being of our cleaning staff and guests, all blankets and bedding, bedspread and towels are washed after each stay. Masks and gloves are worn during cleaning and all surfaces are wiped down with disinfectant. There are disinfectant wipes and hand sanitizer in the kitchen island drawer for your use.
PETS: We have treats and bowls ready for your pet. Please wipe paws to keep the furniture and beds clean. We have towels or you can bring your own.
ARTWORK: We hope you love the original artwork, photography and custom furniture created by family, friends and local artists which adds to the unique experience we have crafted just for our guests. A booklet with bios of each artist is available for you to enjoy.

Guest access
There is ample parking on the street and in front of the house.
Come down the driveway and through the gate to the backyard. You will see the guest house in front of you at the end of the backyard.
You will surely notice and love the giant twin Redwood tree in the front yard as you walk down the side driveway, through the gate, past the front main house toward the back of the property to arrive at your freestanding guest house.
Seamless and easy check-in.
Feel free to arrive anytime day or evening. There are motion sensor lights all the way down and at the front door which will come on as you pass to light up the way if you arrive in the evening.
The small patio in front of the patio doors of your vacation home is there under the apple tree for you to enjoy. There is outdoor furniture and ambient lighting.

We provide small appliances (microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, tea kettle) a full set of dishes, plastic cups and dishes for kids, stemware, cups, glasses, utensils, pots and pans, placements, linens, serving sets, bottle openers, strainers, cookie sheets, tupperware and more for your use.
Also included are other supplies such as oil, vinegar, salt/pepper, some spices, sugar, popcorn, tea, cocoa, flour, oats. ketchup, mustard, soy sauce, pasta, mac & cheese, rice, pancake mix, peanut butter, jam and a few other items.
We do stock paper towels/napkins, dish soap, bath soap, shampoo, body lotion, toilet paper, sponges and kitchen bags.
The energy efficient heating and cooling system are easily controlled with a remote to achieve the perfect temperature. There are additional space heaters in the bathroom and bedroom for use. It might be a bit chilly from time to time and the efficient heaters will warm the space up quickly.
We have a state of the art efficiency on-demand water heating system that you will surely love.
The bathroom and outdoor lights have energy efficient motion sensors so they will turn off automatically when not in use.
We do respect our guest’s privacy. The place is well stocked so it should be self-sufficient. Please let us know anytime if you need anything or have any questions. We are happy to help in any way as well to make your stay more enjoyable.
Our property is fully fenced in and we welcome pets for an additional $75.00 cleaning deposit per stay which will be added at check out. We do have bowls for your pets here for your use and usually a few dog treats on hand. The back yard is completely fenced in. Guests staying longer than one week will be charged $50.00 per additional week for pets. Animal waste must be removed from the yard and out in the garbage can located in the small shed in the driveway.

My nephew Jeremy Tuffli built the beautiful one of a kind mobile kitchen island and coffee table/desk especially for this space as well as designing and building the driveway, patio and pathway spaces to the back house.
We have a “little free library” on the street in front of the house that my daughter Camille built with a family friend a few years ago. We invite you to take some books or leave one while you are here.
