Cedar Ridge - Log Cabin, Pet Friendly, Fire Pit!

Welcome to Cedar Ridge! Offering a peaceful log cabin with three private bedrooms, three full baths, a fire pit, and a game room! Cedar Ridge offers lovely views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and is located 5 minutes from beautiful Lake Lure. With two acres of land, the home offers a unique combination of privacy and a cozy cabin feel.

Cedar Ridge features a spacious open floor plan, vaulted ceilings, and mountain views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The living room has two comfy sofas, a television, and a stunning stacked stone gas fireplace. Roku TV for streaming. Your fully equipped kitchen has everything you need, including an electric stove and oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, toaster, Keurig coffee maker & regular coffee maker, cookware, and dishes for everyone. A central island offers ample prep space and casual seating for three. The adjoining dining room comfortably seats six.

Amenities include a fully equipped kitchen with granite counters, 5 smart TVs, free WiFi, central heating, gas fireplace, in-unit washer and dryer, fire pit, game room, and private furnished deck. Bedding, towels, and washcloths are all provided. In regards to blankets - because of COVID and new cleaning regulations, we will no longer have extra blankets in the cabin. Most guests bring their own, but it is completely up to you. The lower level is a bit chilly in the winter.

Lake Lure, just 3 miles up the road, offers lakefront dining, small-town shopping, and family fun and adventure. Lake Lure Beach & Waterpark is a great place to take the kids with lifeguards standing watch as they play in the sand or slide down the waterslide. Around the lake, you will find marinas with boat rental options, daily boat tours, dinner cruises, river tubing, fishing, golf courses, zip lining, gem mining, putt-putt golf, and more! Chimney Rock State Park is not to be missed, with spectacular views, rock climbing, hiking, waterfalls, and so much more. Spend the day golfing at one of Lake Lure’s three golf courses, or take some time to relax at the Rumbling Bald Spa and Salon. After an eventful day of exploring, roast marshmallows with your loved ones over the fire pit as you look up at the clear night sky to count the stars.

If you need to stay connected, Cedar Ridge has satellite WiFi. We recommend bringing a hotspot if you have one. This will ensure you have internet even when a storm comes. (Satellite Wi-Fi is easily disrupted by even just a few clouds. Welcome to the mountains)

Nearby is the newly built Tryon Equestrian Center. It is not to be missed for outside (and inside) dining while watching different horse events, such as polo, jumping, gladiator matches, “Saturday Night Lights,” and more!

No matter the season, this adorable mountain home provides a perfect escape. Visit in the spring when the foliage is beginning to bloom, and daytime temperatures average 60 degrees. Sip your morning coffee on the deck or relax away the afternoon in one of the outdoor rocking chairs. Stay in the summer when the weather is perfect—warm but not humid. Unwind with the soothing breezes and views from the front porch.

Visit at year’s end and soak in the cozy log cabin feeling; the autumn colors in this area are breathtaking, and the winter weather opens an entirely new view with the leaves falling from the trees. Stay warm by the fireplace, make a hot toddy, and relax with your loved ones.

AREA WIDE NOTICE: Lake Lure will undergo a drawdown from January 1st, 2025, through the first quarter of 2025 (March 31st). The lake will begin to be lowered by approximately 1 foot per day until 12 feet have been reached. Infrastructure maintenance, dredging, and dam projects will be expedited during this time frame. These efforts by the Town of Lake Lure may affect access to the lake and restrict any lake usage. For more information, click here. The lake will likely be back up to normal levels by mid to late April. While we understand this is an inconvenience, this does allow you to enjoy the full beauty of Lake Lure in the fall and holiday season. This will not affect the smaller lakes in the area, only Lake Lure itself.

Smoking is prohibited in all of our vacation rental homes.

Fire Protection: Fire Extinguisher, smoke detectors, and carbon monoxide detectors -This home is equipped with two fire extinguishers (under the kitchen sink and lower level bathroom sink), smoke detectors, and carbon monoxide detectors. Removing any of these from their designated location is prohibited. Avoid blocking hallways, doorways, steps, entrances, and exits.

Pet Policy - Up to two dogs are allowed at no extra charge; we simply ask that you please clean up inside and out after your pups.
Parking for 3-4 vehicles. You do not need 4WD. The driveway fits 3-4 cars; be sure to utilize the two carports! Motorcycles and RVs are also welcome!
Check-in time is 4:00 p.m. local time or anytime later.
Check-out time is 10:00 a.m. local time or anytime earlier.
