Limestone Lodge overlooks the banks of Big Fishing Creek. This 4500 square foot home sleeps 16 and is fully equipped with all the amenities necessary to enjoy a weekend away. In addition to 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths, the home has a spacious kitchen, sun room, screened in side porch, 1 large wrap around porch, game room, dining area, living room, an outdoor hot tub, and propane grill.

    Absolutely fantastic
    This lodge is beautiful. We rented this place for our daughter's graduation from Penn State. Easy access to everything in State College without the crowds. We loved every minute of our stay and didn't want to leave.

    Limestone Lodge Visit
    It's a stunning cabin that feels secluded but is also conveniently situated next to nearby stores and restaurants. The photos lined up exactly with the place. Tons of beds and couches makes sleeping large groups easy.

    Beautiful rural location and home
    We rented the house for a college reunion (Lock Haven alum). The property is very clean and spacious. It had every amenity we could have wanted. The kitchen is large and comfortable. It’s located in a beautiful wooded area with views of the creek below. The owners of the property were great to work with. We will absolutely stay here again!

    A Very Pleasant Experience
    Due to weather, we unfortunately had to cancel our stay the day of. I messaged the owners to ask if we could possibly reschedule the stay (I wasn't expecting any sort of refund since it was so late) . They showed immense understanding and without asking refunded 100% of the money spent on the stay. Although we did not get to stay at their awesome looking property (yet!), the short experience we had with the owners guaranteed that we will absolutely do so in the future.

    Perfect COVID vacation
    This is a large house with plenty of space to spread out. Lots of conveniences and everything we needed including paper towels and TP, cleaning supplies, hand sanitizer wipes, and hand sanitizer gel! The temperature was a bit hard to control because it is three levels. The lower level got cold, the main floor was comfy and the upper level was warm. We worked it out by raising and lowering a few degrees depending on where we were spending our time. Three of the four bedrooms are on the lower level with one full bath and a kitchenette and TV room/entry area. The main floor has the kitchen, dining area, sun room, screened porch, deck, family room, game room, bathroom and laundry. The third floor is the master bedroom and bath with a small relaxation area of the loft. We brought fans with us and used one up there. The giant bean bag chairs in the family room are awesome! Furniture is comfy. Hot tub was great. We had trouble with the TVs and internet connectivity but Tracey worked with us and tech support and we got it all working to our satisfaction. This was the perfect place to stay during COVID. The house is on a private drive and is remote from any other houses. It is tastefully decorated and is mostly used as a fishing lodge and weekend getaway. It is located in an area with very low incidence of the virus so we felt relatively safe but still wore masks when we went out. It is close (20 mins) to Bald Eagle State Park/Lake which has a nice beach and some hiking trails. We rented a pontoon boat and had a blast riding on the giant tube that came with the rental. There are lots of other good walking/hiking trails in the area too. Make sure you visit the Bald Eagle Produce and bakery stand on Eagle Mountain Lane in Beech Creek. Their molasses cookies are amazing! Tracey, one of the managers, helped arrange a horseback ride for us which was really nice. Tracey was great to work with and helped make our stay enjoyable. Highly recommend this location for a great vacation getaway.

    Enough room for a family reunion!
    My family and I (10 of us) stayed the weekend to attend a family wedding. There was enough room to spread out, play pool, and enjoy each others company. The hosts responded to any questions in a timely (i.e. quick) fashion. We'd definitely stay here again and We'd recommend it to others.

    What a wonderful place to stay! Consider this location for PSY
    We had such a wonderful visit, celebrating our daughter’s graduation from Penn State. The lodge is immaculate with gorgeous views ( even on rainy days!) we hosted a post graduation celebration and our friends and family were thrilled with the accommodations. It is just 30 minutes from the University and it exceeded our expectations! We highly recommend!

    Great Get-away Site!
    Mill Hall Pennsylvania is a great area for a relaxing! Unplug from your life, hike in rolling hills, swim in local lakes, sample wines at local vineyards and enjoy some of the best produce and meats we’ve ever had from the local Amish farmers. We were totally charmed by all the Amish buggies passing us or seeing the horse drawn tractors and hay wagons in the fields. I suspect leaf watching in the fall would be spectacular. We only tried one local restaurant, a local rib place called Curt’s, and it was very good. The house itself was perfect for our group, with lots of bedrooms, comfortable beds and lots of different spaces to relax so those who needed to work or wanted to participate in a digital exercise class or watch a movie could find their own nook. Our ambitious cooks found we could easily prepare dishes because the kitchen was well-equipped in terms of dishes, pots and serving bowls. Plus, the previous tenants had left lots of herbs, spices, and condiments. Our contact, Tracey, was very kind, responsive and gave great local suggestions, making our stay very comfortable. I would highly recommend this site.

    Great place
    Rented this very large house for son’s psu graduation and army commissioning ceremonies. Easily accommodated our family and three relatives. Beautiful setting, lots of windows. Drive to state college was very manageable. Neat area by well known trout stream. Guy down the road at tackle shop was very friendly and knowledgeable.

    Second time staying here. Joe C's review says it all. Beautiful home. The only thing that changed since staying here 5 months ago was the TV situation - no cable TV. Apple TV's are now the 2 main TV's in the house. Not a showstopper and certainly not something to deduct a * for but probably something you'd want to know prior to renting (esp. if you want to watch live TV coverage). Great stay!

    Awesome PSU retreat
    Our group of 12 loved our stay at Limestone Lodge. Due to the parking situation at the PSU game we simply wound up back at the house afterwards as it afforded so much room to spread out and relax. The kids loved the hot tub! The space is so great because there is so much room to spread out, so many rooms to almost get lost. The setting is very quaint down a small private road, over a bridge and up a hill, and over-looking the stream below. Our only downside was the cold and dreary weather, otherwise we would have used more amenities such as fishing, the fire pit, etc. Oh and our last comment, Lance and Tracey are awesome to deal with. Very speedy to respond, super accommodating, and all with a highly friendly demeanor. We had a few questions when we first arrived and the the cable was out. Both Lance and Tracey came by to assist us, and get the info they needed for Comcast. They even enjoyed a cold beverage with us and chatted for a few minutes. We enjoyed our stay here so much that we already booked this place again for a PSU event in the spring. I guess that the best statement we can make regarding our feelings about Limestone Lodge.

    Relaxing Getaway
    We traveled to this property in October, as a group of football fans who were attending the Penn State game. The commute to State College was easy, and this home was WONDERFUL. Our only regret was that we did not book a longer trip, as we did not get to enjoy all of the amenities of/around the house. Tracey was great to work with, and provided everything that we needed for our stay. I would definitely recommend this property, and we are hoping to return on a future visit.

    If you ever travel to the State College area for a Penn State game and don't choose to house your group here, well that's simply your loss. What a beautiful home, with wonderful grounds and a serene setting. If you need to relax, this home will bring your stress levels down. It is idyllic and we can't wait to book for our next visit to watch the Nittany Lions. Easy access to and from campus make this a perfect location. Thanks for having us and we will be back!

    Great stay at a great house!
    Myself and 10 friends stayed over NYE weekend the Limestone Lodge and had a blast, not just because we also had a Murder Mystery dinner party but because the house and location is wonderful. Huge common space that is very open with abundant windows and natural light. There was 11 of us there but we never felt on top of each other. I communicated with both Tracey and Lance and they were both very easy to deal with and extremely pleasant and accommodating. I and all 10 of my friends highly recommend a stay at the Limestone Lodge! Everyone also LOVED the outdoor hot tub!!

    Great place for large family and friend gatherings
    Can't say enough great things about our stay at the Limestone Lodge. The one and only negative was the rainy weather which prevented us from enjoying the magnificent views and outdoor living this gorgeous property offers. Our family stayed here to celebrate our daughter's graduation from Penn State. About a 35 minute ride to State College, this property offers more than what anyone could expect - from the amount of space to entertain, sleeping accommodations for everyone and more - clean and comfortable - and an attentive property manager (Lance) who was available to assist in any way he could. We wish we knew about this Lodge back in 2013 when my daughter started school as we would have made the trip here every year! Thank you to the owners and manager for everything - we may be back next time we visit central PA and so glad all the State College hotels overcharged and overbooked for graduation weekend as we would have missed this amazing opportuity for our family!!

    Can't wait to RETURN!!!!!!
    We chose this VRBO property because our group of 6 adults needed overnight accommodations to attend a football game at Penn State. After viewing the pictures and description of the Limestone Lodge, we decided that it looked so lovely that we wanted to extend our stay to 3 nights instead of 2 ~ giving us more time to enjoy the facility. Well, the only problem with that decision was that we ONLY extended for 1 additional night!!! We would have loved to stay the entire week!!! The pictures don't really even do it justice! The lodge offers so many beautiful areas to relax and enjoy that we made a joke of actually moving from one room to another thruout our stay - just to be sure we enjoyed all!! We have stayed in some beautiful rental vacation properties, but, I can truly say that we have NEVER seen one that was so fully equipped with EVERYTHING you would need from the kitchen to the bath to the laundry! One of the best decisions we made as a group was to not plan on going out for dining because, honestly, we hated to leave the lodge ~ we planned ahead and took all the groceries and beverages that we needed and loved the fun and relaxation this plan offered! One of the best parts of renting the Limestone Lodge is that there is a gentleman that lives very close to this property ~ Juan David ~ and he was so kind and helpful in assisting us with any needs or information we requested!! He helped to make our stay perfect ~ due to the fact we had to worry about NOTHING but having an AWESOME time! We were staying at the Lodge for the football game weekend, but, after visiting and seeing the fabulous fishing opportunities with the Fishing Creek being right in front of the property - we can't wait to return with some of our family members that will LOVE this aspect of the trip! Also, the owners are in the process of actually opening a "Pro Shop" on the lower level which will add another unique feature! The only problem with submitting this review is that I really don't want anyone else to rent here cause I want to be sure to be able to go whenever I want to!! LOL!!
