We stayed overnight to go to a wedding nearby. The property was comfortable, gorgeous and packed with everything we needed for brekkie in the morning. Will definitely stay again.
We had a lovely short stay. The home had everything we needed in a great, quiet location. The breakfast and bottle of wine was an added bonus! Check in was easy as was communication with the host.
The owners have created a relaxing and enjoyable cottage right opposite Lake Alexandrina. The cottage was built in the late 1800's and has a rustic, cosy vibe. With breakfast included in the stay as well, it's great value for money.
Would highly recommend.
Very well presented property clean and very homely Lovely veiw out at the lake Lovely little town Nice drive to victor too Privately situated on same property at owners who are Lovely too we will be back
Russell was a really good host with a lovely cottage. Everything was provided for. The breakfast provisions were more than adequate. Thanks Russell for a lovely stay
Russell was an excellent host for our weekend away. Property had lots of character with customised linen. Loved having a full kitchen and house. Russell was super responsive and friendly. The property faces the lake which meant for lovely morning walks.
We highly recommend this lovely cottage, so full of character and comfort. So much attention to detail has been taken to make this place feel like home. We will definitely be back.
We loved our quiet getaway, and with Russell's help, enjoyed marshmallows on the fire pit across from a full moon rising over the lake. The accommodation is cosy, wonderfully decorated, and very well equipped. As other reviews have mentioned, the breakfast provisions were so very generous. The shower is hot and strong, and the beds super comfortable. The property is easily drive-able to Langhorne creek winery area and Strathalbyn, and we also enjoyed walking the lake path several times to the shacks, locomotive museum and playground. Thanks Russ and Lynn, your place is charming and just what we needed for a local getaway.
A cosy cottage with beautiful views across the lake. Everything was provided, including plenty of breakfast provisions. We really enjoyed exploring the area, and Sandilira was an excellent base. The hosts were very helpful when I realised I’d left my phone charger behind - thank you!
Peaceful relaxing spot close to the lake Comfy clean little place. Great location not far to winery regions Langhorne Creek and Currency Creek. Russ and Lynn perfect hosts. Very generous breakfast provisions. We also took advantage ordering the chef cooked meals and thoroughly enjoyed them.
Beautifully renovated cottage - peaceful..all the supplies and amenities you need, are thoughtfully supplied. Above and beyond communication and welcoming messages from host. Highly recommend and will be returning!
Great spot to stay in Milang/Lake Alexandrina. The place is very much a holiday house with lots of the owners arty touches to make it very welcoming.
The kitchen was well stocked and we were treated to a nice surprise on the side board when we arrived.
Russ was very helpful and accommodating with our specific requirements and had a few good stories to tell.
We were visiting family down the road so not on the tourist trail. Having said that, Milang has a fair few wineries around and is about half hour from Victor Harbor.
Quaint cottage stay. Comfortable and clean with lots of interesting artefacts. Plenty of toiletries, kitchen utensils and spaces to relax. We enjoyed the champagne breakfast for dinner!
If going in colder months, could be a little cool in the cottage even though there is wall mounted heater/cooler. But plenty of throw rugs to use.
Near the lake, bakery not too far away. Didn’t eat at the local pub. Relaxing stay.
Fantastic Host that go out of their way to make you comfortable , maybe need to put double bed from main bed room in small bed room and put a queen in main bed room / Bacon , eggs and all breakfast supplied Well done to the owners I hope this B and B takes of for you Kind Regard Gail
Beautiful wee rustic timbered cottage, right by the lake. Couldn't fault it, really. Exactly what we wanted for our weekend away. Very thoughtfully presented, clean, and generously stocked with provisions, especially for the price! Very quiet and peaceful, 5/5.
(Needs a blind over the small master bedroom window. Morning sun woke me at 5.30 am. There are small hooks, one could hang a towel or similar I suppose? A thick blind would be much better tho. Needs another extension lead/powerboard too, for those of us with fan (menopause) and CPAP (sleep apnea) needs. I would also remove the old school desk too, near the kitchen table and buffet cabinet. It blocks walkway access for large people, and is unnecessary clutter ... But it's not my place ..... Others may be fine. A 'could do' not a ''must do').
