I booked this primarily to take advantage of dark skies for Astro photography. Worked out well and was able to get some good photos. Also a short trip to Yosemite where we saw the valley and glacier point,

The proximity to Yosemite sold me on this home. The rural location provided a place to relax and unwind after a long day of sightseeing. The home was spacious and comfortable and the beds were great. I would definitely recommend this home for both couples and families.

Nice stay at Deer Ranch Meadow
This was the second time we stayed at this property. John is a very good communicator and is very responsive. The house is adequate, but the proximity to Yosemite was the big appeal for us. The house was missing a few basic items and had a couple minor issues, but overall we enjoyed our stay.

Peace and Quiet! A Perfect Combo
We were looking for a get away to avoid fireworks! This home was peaceful and quiet for our dog who melts when she hears fireworks. We took this opportunity to visit Yosemite and it was within 45 min drive. The star watching around 11pm, was magical at the house. Host was responsive!

This is the spot for yosemite
This place was perfect for us. It was remote, but 10 minutes from town, groceries, resturants, and anything you may need. Close to everything, but juuust far enough from the people in the park. We drove in on wowana Road once on our last day (the other route into yosemite), and let me assure you, route 140 which this house is located off of is the easier route and that alone should be a big factor. After a long day of dealing with others, abet In a beautiful setting, It is nice to come home to somewhere where life just seems normal. The house is spotless, The beds are comfortable, The showers are clean and hot, and all the amenities are there. There is beautiful scenery around you, And you can be sure you won’t be bothered once you get “home” For the night. Check in and check out is Easy and the host can be reached at anytime if there are problems, but there wont be. This is going in my favorites list if i ever make it back to yosemite.

Perfect place for our Yosemite vacation!
We loved this place! It was a great home base for our time in Yosemite. The home was clean and well-furnished with all we needed. And the property is quiet and in a great location. Just like the property name says, we saw deer wandering by in the evening and morning. Thanks John and Amy for hosting!

Hiking Getaway
The home is quite old. The kitchen and deck were the best features but the rest needs a little TLC. The towels were stained and very thin. The water smelled like rust and we didn’t feel comfortable drinking it. It’s just an older home that needs some updates especially the bathrooms. Our shower curtain was pretty gross and there were rust stains on the shower and sinks. It is 45 minutes from the park, which I believe was stated in the description, but another 20 minutes beyond that to the valley. A bit too far to drive every day.

Deer Meadow Ranch
Our stay at Deer Meadow Ranch was every thing we hoped for. Even the name of the property is accurate. We saw deer every morning grazing in the back yard. Property is well maintained, kitchen is well stocked with cooking utensils, dishes, pans etc. The house has good WIFI and there weren't any internet connection issues. Our party had 4 adults and there was more than enough room for all of us. Would definitely return to this property and highly recommend it to others.

I DON'T KNOW?
It was a regular experience, the place and the house were excellent, but we had problems with the water (it tasted like rust and the same in the shower), a bed with a bad smell and the plates, glasses and all the kitchen utensils with a bad smell, I'm sorry. I do this type of thing a lot, but in my travels it has never happened to me in the other properties, I hope they fix this problem in this property.-

Excellent!
The home was wonderful. The location to Yosemite National Park is great too. The home felt like home away from home. It was great to come back to the house after a day of hiking in the park so we could cook dinner and relax. And, thank you for the board games! We had a great time of family game nights. Something I always forget to pack! The owners are wonderful in making sure that the check-in instructions had everything we needed. Our family will certainly stay there again! Thank you for a great place to stay while spending time at Yosemite!

We had a wonderful time here. The place is very spacious with large porch and backyard to relax. It's located away from the Hwy and the neighborhood so it is very peaceful and quiet. It's extremely clean and comfortable. Check-in was very simple and host was very responsive if you have any questions. Only 45 minutes to the yosemite entrance. I would highly recommend this place.

Starry Nights
Very nice, updated home, close to Yosemite, with a deck perfect for watching the stars! The only drawback with it being in the woods is that it has hard water, a small price to pay for it’s location so close to Yosemite and nature. The owners leave filtered water in the fridge for drinking.

Beautiful and Peaceful
Traveled to the area to visit our son who works in Yosemite. This home was 2 miles from the main highway so it was very quiet and peaceful in a wooded area. The homeowner, John, was very easy to communicate with before and during our visit. The number of people in our group increased from the time we originally booked to the time we arrived so I let John know and he said no problem as long as the total is 8 or less. This was great because other listinga in the area charged more for additional people. The home was very comfortable for our group and we would stay here again.
