"We came to visit Gettysburg and Amish Country and were excited to learn that while we had spent much time learning about the Civil War, Lee had actually come to visit the very house we stayed at and is detailed in a book located at the property called “A River to Cross”. Before we left we took a picture with our pup on “Lee’s rock” where he rested while the horses drank from a spring nearby and his troops had tea and recharged at the property. "This house had everything you could ever need! While our older kids enjoyed some skiing, our toddlers enjoyed exploring the property. It was the perfect location for what we wanted to do. "

"Very nice house on wonderful, spacious property close to DC but feels like in the country. Listing has breakfast and playground as amenities, niether of which are accurate. Kids loved the adjustable basketball hoop. House could use a highchair for families staying with infants as we were. Kitchen well stocked with cookware, bakeware, dishes and utensils."

"We spent a thanksgiving at the farm and it was great. The animals are fun to feed and the house had plenty of space. The kitchen was well stocked as well."

"Our overall experience was nice and relaxing place to be. However, during the cold months. The second floor was warm enough to sleep, but the first floor was very cold, especially when it gets down to 19 at night when there’s no heat because all the heat travels to the second floor/loft. There was a space heater, but didn’t realize it until after we left. The host was easy to get a hold of through messages. The only recommendation I would say is maybe put a firebox insert in the fireplace to...
