"We came to stargaze, but Mother Nature had other ideas and it rained all weekend. We made the best of it and played ping pong, watched movies on the comfy living room couch, and had fun exploring Galeton. We can’t wait to stay again. "

"This was a great rest stop while traveling from Emmetsburg to NY. The room was spacious and clean. The town has a lovely Catholic church where I attended Sunday services. I also had a nice time shopping."

"We chose Canyon Motel for it's proximity to the Wellsboro main street and affordability of amenities, and we were not disappointed. We were able to relax in the Jacuzzi in our room after a long day of hiking and walking, or take in some heat in the sauna which was located in the pool area. The pool was heated, but not too warm and not overly chlorinated, which we have found to be a problem in most hotels/motels. Speaking of problems in other hotels, there were a few small details that made a huge difference to us. There were plenty of towels for our 3 day stay, including pool towels. Also, it's always bothered us how small the trash cans in other hotels can be; the trash cans in our room were bigger than most other places we've stayed and had liners in them. Do you know how refreshing it is to not have to worry about overflowing the trash bin during a 3 night stay? The only small complaint we had was the Do Not Disturb card to hang on the door was very light and easily turned to Room Service Requested by accident. Our last morning there was interrupted by room service because of that. It wasn't a big deal, just something to think about. All in all, we will be recommending Canyon Motel to friends and family."
