"Beautiful hotel with a great view; I would have given 5 stars, but housekeeping banged on every door in our area including ours at 9am (checkout was 11am) yelling housekeeping until you answered the door even with our Privacy Please on the door handle. Even after that, they (housekeeping) continued to make noise slamming doors around us and loudly talking right outside our door. "The hotel is spotless clean and the one-bedroom room was very spacious. The bed was very comfortable. We loved everything about the hotel and room 1217 except for the shower. The water pressure/shower head is terrible, the water just dibbled out and was very hard to remove all the soap. "

Thompson 212 · Thompson Block Loft - Modern and Historic

Great Location, Apartment Well Equipped

"We really enjoyed this unit. Upon arrival our assigned parking spot was taken, this was frustrating but was resolved within 60 minutes. The building is great, old and rustic with a dedicated parking lot and restaurants/shops all within 1-2 blocks (coffee shops, pizza, grilles, market).It's a very well equipped unit, host had all the supplies and enough to last us the entire two weeks (which is rare). This included laundry detergent, bath tissue, paper towels, coffee, spices, etc.The building was accessible with an e-keypad and the building has an elevator which made suitcase and grocery hauls super easy. The door to the unit is also a e-keypad so no keys, a plus!TIP: The thermostat and control panel are located in the great room. The great room has 3 windows and in the winter, it's much colder than in the bedrooms. So while the heat is on, it's heating to the temperature of the great room and the 2 bedrooms are without windows (just skylights). Therefore, it would get 5 degrees hotter in our bedrooms than the temp in the great room. Changing the thermostat every morning and every evening was part of the daily routine, but it did not damper the stay. We'd stay again. "

"This is our third loft at the Thompson building we have stayed at. They are all lovely and close to so many restaurants, bars and shops, all within walking distance. Thanks for sharing your loft with us. It is well decorated and the bed is super comfortable. "

"We had a nice stay During our recent trip to visit our son at the University of Michigan, the apartment was nice and clean. The beds were comfortable. The free parking on weekends was appreciated. Since our main focus was seeing our son, we did not explore the area much. Overall, we did enjoy our stay. It was a little noisy on Saturday night, but not enough to interfere with our sleep."

Weekend football & fun with family

"Property & parking were exactly as promised. The apartment was very clean. The beds were already made up for us upon arrival. There were plenty of towels. Paper products, shampoo, conditioner & soap were provided. There was even coffee & filters. I so appreciated this place within walking distance to activities & restaurants. This was my first time in this area for UM football with my grandson. I would love to return & would recommend this place to everyone. "
