As one of the original homes in Sheridan Beach, this stately property has just undergone a complete renovation and upgrade. Unlike any other property in the area, you'll enjoy the perfect blend of a convenient walk to the water's edge, plentiful modern bathrooms and privacy for your extended family, along with a beautiful 800sf private "terrazza" with natural gas firepit and grill. With designer-grade finishes, and tasteful, travel-themed artwork throughout, you will enjoy an elevated and relaxing stay in this comfortable home designed with extended family gatherings in mind. Only 60 minutes from Chicago by car, or 90 minutes from Midway Airport. The new kitchen features a 36” Bertazzoni gas range, quartz countertops, plentiful lighting, and is well-equipped with all the serving ware and tools needed to prepare great meals for your whole crew.

We purchased the property in 2017, and have worked hard to renovate and upgrade the property, while preserving its character and charm, to go with its fabulous location. Many of our guests return year after year, because they appreciate the superb location, convenience and comfort, along with the new modern bathrooms, premium linens and guest amenities. We recently upgraded to fiber optic internet, which accommodates up to 75 devices. Stream your music to our premium Sonos sound system, and use your login to watch your favorite shows on one of two HDTVs.

Huge home super close to the beach
It's rare to find a large home that can comfortably accommodate so many different couples and their children, but this one did! Loved the large back patio, two long picnic tables, and fire pit. It was a great place for all to gather and enjoy the weekend!

Friends to the Dunes
Wonderful visit to the Dunes and Lake Michigan City. The VRBO was perfect for our stay. The owners have put a lot of attention to the details to ensure your stay if a great one. Especially loved the new kitchen and the outside lounge area with the gas fire pit. Just a few short steps to the lake. Will definitely go again and stay.

Great house, perfect location
La Terrazza was the perfect house for our group of 14 - the house and patio are spacious and are well stocked with everything you need to host that many people, and the beach is just steps away. Craig was kind, helpful, and super communicative - would definitely rent here again.

Great House for a Family Holiday
Our family of 19 people, ages 5 to 73, enjoyed our stay in Michigan City. The house had everything we needed... lots of plates, flatware and cooking stuff! Plenty of room for us to spend time together and privacy when we needed it. The homeowners were great and responsive. The house was clean and tidy! Will be going there again next year!

Memorial Day Weekend Get Together
Great place to stay, had all useful tools for the kitchen and the gas grill for the large meals we made for a very wide assortment of ages. Kids loved the patio area where they could play and hang out even when the weather wasn't the best. I would 100% recommend Craig as a host and would easily stay at his property again... just need to be promised warmer weather next time :)

Great house for a large group
My friends and I rented this house for a weekend getaway and had a blast. The kitchen area had enough seating for our large group, we enjoyed hanging around the outdoor and indoor fireplaces and the super short walk to the beach. The property manager was responsive. Home with great combination of large and small gathering places, lots of bedrooms with comfy beds, close to beach, and kitchen stocked with all types of pots, pans and dishes. Everything you need for multiple families to gather, eat, and play together. Great patio space with gas grill and fire pit. We had five families together and we all had our own space. It was perfect.

Perfect for a large group with kids!
The house was perfect for us with several families that all wanted their own rooms. Many houses that can sleep the same number of people accomplish it with big bunk rooms but that didn't work for our families with small children. It was right across the street from a really nice beach and the outdoor space in the background was perfect for grilling and a small plot of grass for the kids to play.

Perfect for a large group
We have a few families that have tried to get together for long weekends in the Michigan City/Long Beach area every summer for the last 5 years. With new kids being born ever year, that became more difficult. This house was perfect for the amount we had. It is also close to the beach with easy access. Plenty of bathrooms for the amount of people we had was ideal as well. We will definitely be staying here on an annual basis.

Family vacation
From the time we reserved this home and throughout our visit, Craig was very responsive to all of our questions. Our family of 15 (8 adults/7 children-8yrs and under) was able to relax and enjoy each other with plenty of bedroom and bath space for each individual family. The proximity to the beach and the private back patio are bonuses. The kitchen may be small, but it's very well equipped for a large group and the dining space is ample. Should we ever return with a large group to the area, we would definitely want to stay at La Terrazza again.

Great family getaway
Our group really enjoyed their time at La Terrazza. This is an older home that has been renovated thoughtfully. The kitchen is not enormous but it is very functional and well-stocked. It was great to have six couples in the house who all had their own bathroom. The best part is the location - a very easy and safe walk to the beach access with mats along the dunes to help get wagons to the beach. We had some issues with appliances being finicky, but the owners were very responsive in helping us get them working. I would definitely recommend this property to any family looking for a Lake Michigan vacation.
