"We enjoyed our 10-day stay, especially privacy for 3 adult women each in their own bedroom with an AC unit. Neighborhood was quiet and felt very safe. However a number of items we expected to be supplied (corkscrew, salt & pepper, shampoo, bath soap, batteries for remotes, laundry detergent, enough toilet paper for our stay) were absent. We had to buy those items. We waited 4 days for a missing bathtub plug to be sent by Amazon. If only a few items had been missing or we had received a quicker...

"Ovedale fit my needs perfectly! It was a pleasant 3 day stay within a beautifully landscaped property. So peaceful, safe and clean. There was a grocery store about 4 miles away. I wasn’t a fan of the compost toilet but I signed up knowing that. It was so much more fun than staying in a hotel."

"We had a great stay here. Both john and chelsey are wonderful people! Everything was clean and ready to go. They even left apples and carrots for us to feed the donkeys. We had such a great time there! It was our first time in florida, and john gave us great advice on places to visit and where to find great food. We cannot wait to go back again next year!"

"This beautiful rustic cabin was the perfect jumping off location for the things we had on our bucket list. We couldn't have asked for a better host. We fast became friends sharing our respective stories in conversation. One of the nicest people we have ever met. The cabin has a well-appointed kitchen, comfortable beds and a comfortable living room for relaxing at the end of the day. If it weren’t for some very kind people that lived off the main road, we would have abandoned our stay. There was no cell service so we lost our ability to use GPS and we couldn’t message the host to get better directions. "My fiance and I, along with one of our friends stayed here for Gatornationals and cannot say enough good about this place! Don’t let its size fool you, everything is high quality! The top bed was super-comfy and the linens were amazing. Like, softer and nicer than some high-end hotels. Our very tall, large friend slept on the sofa-converted-to-bed and said it was very comfortable; something he didn’t expect at all given it wasn’t a “true” bed. "The road leading to the house is very bumpy, but don’t let that fool you. The house is very nice. As soon as we walked in, I felt completely at home. Much better than a hotel/motel. It is in a very quiet neighborhood. Very peaceful. There is a Dollar General close by, in case you need any supplies. We went to the Hawthorne Cafe for breakfast. Very nice people and good food. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at this location. I highly recommend it."

"This remodeled farmhouse in the middle of a working horse ranch was a perfect evening retreat from our scheduled events in bustling Gainesville and Ocala.The quietness of this rural setting along with the stables and horse pastures surrounding the house made for relaxing evenings just on the outskirts of the cities. "The property was great. Clean and spacious, but the area around it seems to be improving, but right now it felt a bit sketch. It is VERY convenient to the interstate, but I had to travel to the next exit to find a grocery store. Staff was responsive. We did a late check-in, and when I called, the staffer answered immediately, and gave us easy, clear instructions on how to get our room key. Would stay again."
