My experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing for several reasons: 1. Bathroom Design: The bathroom was located in the corner of the room without proper walls or ventilation, offering no privacy at all. This design choice was highly inconvenient and uncomfortable. 2. Noise Issues: The walls were incredibly thin, making it impossible to avoid hearing conversations and noises from neighboring rooms. This made it difficult to relax or get a good night’s sleep. 3. Breakfast: The breakfast was shockingly inadequate. Guests were offered a jar of peanut butter, a few eggs, one type of cereal, and a single jar of milk to share. This fell far below any reasonable standard for breakfast service. 4. Cleanliness: The bed sheets were not clean, the furniture was stained, and toiletries like shampoo and soap were insufficient. Additionally, a drawer with cracked glass posed both an aesthetic and safety concern. 5. Overcharging: Finally, we were overcharged with no explanation or breakdown of the costs, which felt completely unprofessional and unfair. Overall, the lack of attention to comfort, cleanliness, and service quality made this stay a regrettable experience. I would not recommend this hotel unless you want to risk ruining your holidays.

Property is well maintained, well decorated, spacious room, small breakfast included and it was a very nice touch,because Miami Beach is very expensive place for a vacation. Staff was nearly invisible, which in my opinion is not bad. There are cameras everywhere and when you need something ( extra toilet paper, request to clean room)- they see you walking around looking for them and emerge from somewhere like a gin from the fairytale:) We had a good time in “Secret Garden”, it was nice to have Smart TV in the room and watch YouTube in the language of our choice. There also was a small fridge ( drinks in the fridge are 4$ each), but no microwave or coffeemaker. Take a thermos with you ! What was strange-shower in the room. Right next to one of the beds. I guess, it is fine when you are newly wed, but if you travel with an elderly parent and a teenager it may be awkward. But we found the way around. So, overall it was nice, positive experience. We stayed 6 nights. Beach is very close-across the road. No swimming pool. Free trolley stop is also very close. CVS pharmacy was a life saver-we bought there cough drops, chocolate bars, wine, fruits, conditioner for the hair, anything we needed. It is a pharmacy/grocery store/spirits/ supermarket-all in one, same strange as the shower in the room :) So, I do recommend this place!

I stayed at Hotel Secret Garden in Miami Beach and was left with mixed feelings. The staff was kind and did their best to assist, but it’s clear that management issues hinder their efforts. For instance, the A/C was broken throughout much of the property for two days. While staff assured me it would be fixed or that I could move to another room, neither promise was fulfilled. I appreciate their willingness, but their hands seemed tied. The hotel was also too dark after 6 PM in common areas like the lobby, kitchen, and reception, which gave an unsettling vibe. The continental breakfast was disappointing, offering only a limited selection of options—not the solid variety one would expect. Again, this points to poor management. While I appreciate the effort from staff and housekeeping to maintain the property, the facility itself shows unrealized potential. This hotel could do so much better in its prime location, and even justify charging more if these issues were addressed. Lastly, I was promised a discount for the first night due to the inconveniences, but I was never contacted about it. Overall, the staff deserves credit for trying their best, but management must step up to make this hotel reach its full potential.

My husband and I stayed here for our first night as a married couple. We booked the rooftop penthouse. Pros: beautiful and clean room, affordable rates, property clean, close to beach, manager facilitated us dropping off a suitcase so it would be waiting for us directly after our wedding Cons: Internet didn't work, TV didn't work, waited 30 minutes to check-in (we arrived at 4:00- no one at front), strangely dim lobby, only two towels in room and front desk unable to bring more, one bar of soap for whole room, jacuzzi lukewarm, breakfast was pathetic with a scrawled note stating "one bread one egg per person" This place has a lot of potential. They are clearly understaffed and working on a shoestring budget. We we asked for things directly, staff were willing to help, no complaints about the people working there, I just can't give above 2 stars for staff and service when I'm paying over $300/night for a room and having to ask for everything that should be a given.

There were no towels in the room when I checked in (which is why I deducted a star), but the room was very clean. Since the floors are all tile/marble the sound from the hallway really reverberated, but there was no sound from outside on the street. The courtyard was a really nice area to sit during breakfast or even in the evening to get fresh air. Although the breakfast was a bit sparse, it wasn't a big issue for me since I usually skip breakfast anyway. The location is excellent. Right by the beach, drugstore nearby and right over the intercoastal bridge there is tons of food places and shopping. You are also right on the free trolley route. The staff was kind. If you are expecting a 5 star resort you will be disappointed, but if you are looking for a clean, well located room at a reasonable price, this is the place! I would definitely stay again.

I arrived in the afternoon and got charged an early check in fee despite the room being made up and sitting there empty (so just a blatant money grab) plus was then tagged an Expedia service fee so in the end the room rate wasn't so great. No towels in the room once I got there & the bath / shower when I used it leaked so much you have to the cover the floor in towels (once you get them) to soak up all the water. Just a crazy set up for the sink & bath tub.

No trash bag, no extra towels and when we asked for trash bag, the lady at the front desk was telling us we have to wait till the morning. That’s disappointing. Also, the property isn’t safe. They let people in without IDs to show they stay in the hotel. That’s unprofessional and it’s just not safe. Get a better hotel and spend that extra money for your own safely.
