Convenient location. Virtual lobby made check-in, check-out, and entry easy. Staff was super responsive to texts. Issues - unit was a bit worse for the wear, although unit seemed otherwise clean 2 strands of hair on the bed cover grossed me out, the shower controls weren’t working properly, and pretty noisy until wee hours.

I recently stayed at Kara LA Flora (Jan 9th-13th) and was overall disappointed. The bathroom was outdated, with a large rusty chip in the tub, several nicks, a leaking shower head, and no drain cover. The bathroom door was difficult to open and close, and at one point, the handle came off, trapping us inside. There was no microwave initially, though housekeeping delivered one after we requested it via the app. The coffee maker was a single-cup Keurig style, and the table in the room was unstable and wobbled constantly. Despite advertising guest services, there were none in person—only housekeeping. While the app messenger was responsive, it would have been more helpful to have an in-person check-in process. Amenities were essentially non-existent. There was no patio furniture for outdoor seating and no bathrooms in the lobby area. We were provided with limited towels and toiletries, and no room cleaning service was offered during our stay. The location, however, was excellent—close to the beach and within walking distance of great attractions. Unfortunately, despite the great location, the overall quality of the stay didn’t match the price. With improvements in service and amenities, this place could be worth a second visit, but for now, it fell short of expectations.

The self chech-in and check-out process and instructions was great, easy and convenient. I requested extra towels when i reswrved room and they were there upon arrival. Unfortunately, (as i have read in previous reviews) the toilet was an issue. As a family of 4 adults, not convenient at all when the water and contents rise to the top(didn't overflow) but would very slowly drain to leave toilet paper on the bottom. However, very comfortable beds. You cant beat the location, surrounded by streets for shopping, all kinds of restaurant's ($-$$$), beachs, cafe and pharmacy. Well worth the stay

I liked the fact the location of this property is convenient and provide easy access to the beach, park to exercise and walk, local stores for everyday needs, great restaurants and regardless it is situated in the middle of the ambiance, I was surprisingly able to sleep. I also like the fact that it's a self-entry hotel, and anything you need solved can be communicated via text message. However, the place itself needs to be renovated. The lobby is not inviting, it is dated. There's a foul smell that lingers from the lobby to your room due to lack of ventilation access. All the windows are closed, therefore no fresh air enters the rooms and lobby. The room was cleaned however needs to an upgrade. The bathroom was dated, the head board needs to be replaced. The LGTv I had couldn't work because it's an old generation therefore all the apps needed to be updated which didn't work eventually the maintenance guy had to replace it with a Roku.

They were so good at communicating. Anytime I needed anything they would get on it as soon as possible. 24/7 care. The place was a little bit noisy but clean and I would stay again.

This place was not worth it. We would have rather stayed at a motel over this place. From tv/internet not working to the windows not locking (ground level room) and the homeless people screaming outside your window I give the place -10 out of 10 rating don’t waste your time staying here
