I recently stayed at Kara LA Flora (Jan 9th-13th) and was overall disappointed. The bathroom was outdated, with a large rusty chip in the tub, several nicks, a leaking shower head, and no drain cover. The bathroom door was difficult to open and close, and at one point, the handle came off, trapping us inside. There was no microwave initially, though housekeeping delivered one after we requested it via the app. The coffee maker was a single-cup Keurig style, and the table in the room was unstable and wobbled constantly.
Despite advertising guest services, there were none in person—only housekeeping. While the app messenger was responsive, it would have been more helpful to have an in-person check-in process.
Amenities were essentially non-existent. There was no patio furniture for outdoor seating and no bathrooms in the lobby area. We were provided with limited towels and toiletries, and no room cleaning service was offered during our stay.
The location, however, was excellent—close to the beach and within walking distance of great attractions. Unfortunately, despite the great location, the overall quality of the stay didn’t match the price. With improvements in service and amenities, this place could be worth a second visit, but for now, it fell short of expectations.
