It’s good for the money. We were worried after reading some of the reviews, but the place was actually really clean. No roaches. Clean sheets. There is TV upstairs and downstairs, No smart TV but we used our phones. It does need a bit of renovation, but if you want the Ritz it’s across the street. The pool area was clean as well. The reception was a bit tricky to found, you have to walk in the courtyard to found it, could use a sign. Came for a weekend. It’s very close to the beach. We would probably stay there again if we come back to Biscayne Key.

I have a long list of cons. No washcloths, noisy, like an old motel, walls not patched or painted, unable to contact by phone, corporate doesn't return requests, shower head old and sprays sideways, laundry facilities not in room as stated, washers leak water all ovwr floor and out into walkway, dryer vent not clean so steams up room to an intolerable and unsafe level, beds hard as a rock, fridge loud. This place would not pass a HUDD inspection. Staff was friendly and helpful as long as you were not requesting a refund which we didn't get nor did the other 2 guests we met & spoke to that requested one during our stay

This hotel is highly recommended for families and also for couples. Just a few blocks from the beach, it also offers great location to have dinner in different places.

I wish I could attach pictures! This place is crusty. Definitely a beach hotel. While the linens were clean and so was the kitchen, the closets, baseboards, backs of the doors, and anything that wasn’t a “high touch” area was visibly dirty & dusty. The toilet paper roll was stained and had hair stuck to it. The “pull out couch” wasn’t a pull out. There were holes in the wall behind the couch. The lamps weren’t plugged in behind the bed. The bed itself was like sleeping on a folding table. Then there’s the amenities. The pool was open but there was some kind of unsightly construction going on there. The elevator straight up didn’t work, and to make it worse, we had to figure that out ourselves because the reception desk didn’t even think to mention it. Didn’t love having to lug a massive suitcase up 3 flights of stairs. A few positives: The full kitchen works and has plenty of dishes and cooking/ eating utensils and tools. The room was pretty and well decorated despite how dirty it was. Great location private beach access is available (we didn’t have time to take advantage of this).

Great location and super friendly staff. However, there was a bucket in the hallway for a roof leak, some of the dishes were dirty, the fridge did not stay cold, the AC was noisy and some of the wall tiles in the bathroom were missing (the Sheetrock was smooth so it looked like the contractor simply ran out of tile and stopped). You pay for what you get. This place was a bargain.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Coral Reef Hotel, and I can confidently say it was one of the best experiences I've ever had! From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by the owner, Alexandra, whose hospitality truly exceeded all expectations. She went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable, offering personalized recommendations and making me feel right at home. The hotel itself is a gem—beautifully decorated, and perfectly located. I loved waking up to the sound of the waves and enjoying my morning coffee on the stunning terrace. Alexandra's passion for her hotel and her guests is evident in everything she does. Her warm personality and genuine care make you feel like part of the family. This property’s advertised photos far exceeded the real life experience. Old, tired, and very basic - best describe the room/property. An apartment complex that markets as a hotel. Advertised photos led me to anticipate as much, so I will say that the price point was commensurate with my expectation of the complex/apartment/“hotel.” Staying on Key Biscayne is special, and if wanting to do so on a budget, and having a measured expectations of this facility, it may just fit your needs? Location was spectacular!
