The hotel was not bad. The costumer service was good. They have to improve the cleaning, the elevator area on the first floor smells like piss and the room smells like cigarettes. Valet parking people are very nice.

The balcony pool area rooms are quite neat for a pool day; however, there is a water issue creating dampness and allergens. My room carpet was wet. The carpeted rooms are a little off putting, especially with a humid dank Florida. $300 per night, it was disappointing. A $200 p/night max experience at best, Coral Gables can't justify the premium priced hype. Staff are good and friendly, amenities are 3 star. Way overpriced for what it is.

The property was great! I loved the black out curtains & bed (king) was very comfortable. It was very clean too! I appreciate the complimentary water bottles too. Another massive plus is the 12:00pm check out. The hallway noise was louder than I would have liked, and I would have liked to have a bathtub to soak in and/or at minimum more water pressure for the shower. However the water definitely got hot! The shampoo/conditioner/body gel were all very nice. Branded dry bar. They were subtle in fragrance which is nice. The lobby is extremely over fragranced. It made me so sick to be in that area. They could knock it down by more than half and it would still be enough to keep the brand smell they are going for. It’s not bad, just wayyyy too much. Other than that I would certainly stay again. (Please reduce the fragrance!)

The room was nicely re-finished, but the bathroom is not well laid out. No light in the shower stall, and the one near it is too dim considering the dark gray tiles in the shower. It’s a zero entry shower, but the tile isn’t slanted enough towards the drain to properly drain the water, so there was water everywhere.
