This is a budget hotel located outside the tourist area. It is ok for someone familiar with Mexico City. I do not recommend the hotel or area for unexperienced travelers and families.

Centrally located and free parking. Building is old and could be cleaner. First floor was okay but above that the hallways needed attention. Needs a working elevator (sporadic service outs), reliable air conditioners (ours stopped working and needed to be replaced) and the WiFi is poor at best. Neighborhood is older but I didn't feel unsafe. Staff was very nice.
The hotel is old and in poor condition. The elevator was broken. Two people got stuck in it.The parking lot smelled like animal pee. The rooms are cramped and dirty. The sink didn't drain well and the shower curtain was moldy. The bed sheets and curtains had a strong humid smell, like they haven't been washed ever since they were hung. The halls also smelled very humid. When we laid on the bed we started to feel all itchy. We didn't see any bed bugs but we didn't want to risk it so we decided to try to change rooms. They had nothing available so we had to leave and go to another hotel.
I had stayed there during COVID-19. Staff extremely friendly. They upgraded me to a large airy room. This time, paying a higher price, they put me in an awful small dark ground floor room that should be a storage room. When I said this was unacceptable, they put me in another barely acceptable room looking at an air shaft. Staff rarely greeted me. Left my sunglasses in the restaurant. A waiter found them. Another staffer stole them. Gym equipment broken and neglected and no instructions. Neighborhood fascinating and full of life and diverse activity and not gentrified.
Great place, cheap and very well located, you can go to walking 15-20 min to zocalo, or chapultepec , 10 min by car to plaza garibaldi. Awesome experience at CDMX
The room was tiny barely enough space to walk around the bed. The Bed - oh the bed, hard as a rock and the pillows were even harder. If your looking for a good night rest, this is NOT the hotel.
