Like Having Your Own Mini-Hotel in Mexico City
My partner and 14 friends stayed here for my birthday celebration and we could not have been happier with our choice. Each of the rooms has it's own private bathroom, is spotlessly clean, and comfortable. No AC, but small heaters, plenty of blankets and towels are available. There is a big dining room downstairs and ample hang-out space in the courtyard and on the rooftop deck.
Alejandro, the caretaker, lives on site and was extremely helpful and attentive to all of our needs, including washing our dishes, helping to put away groceries, and even helping us to secure Lucha Libre tickets! We also scheduled cleaning for the rooms with the property for an extra fee during our stay, which was helpful.
The location is within a 5-15 minute walk of the heart of Roma and all the fantastic restaurants and shops, groceries, liquor stores, etc. The house itself is on a quieter side street, though you should naturally expect some street noise being in the center of the city.
A few notes for folks staying here: while the dining room is great and there's plenty of plates/glassware, the kitchen is not very well stocked from a cooking perspective (there's only a couple pans, 1 cutting board). Most people wouldn't plan to cook with all the easily accessible food all around, but something to be aware of. We made the mistake of keeping our doors/windows open and as a result had a lot of mosquitos in our room in early October - this was 100% our fault, but word to the wise for your stay!
