"I stayed here in January/February and wrote a five star review. I chose to return on the basis of my experience, this time with my husband! I was in regular contact with the hotel in the run up to the holiday which made our poor check in experience very disappointing. We were not assigned to the type of room we had booked. The hotel did respond the next day but as we were there for short time , it did impact on our stay. The reason I have still given a five star review is that ultimately the guest relations manager went out of her way to seek to provide some redress. All the things I had enjoyed previously were much same, despite the fact that the hotel was extremely busy resulting in the buffet and pool areas being particularly stretched. As one of the pool areas is adults only - and extremely well policed- this minimised the negative impact there. The attitude of some guests, particularly towards staff was bordering on unacceptable. Customer facing staff and dining options, particularly in the speciality restaurants, were a highlight. Our bedroom was extremely comfortable and well serviced."
