Mice! Woke up at midnight to find one chewing its way into one of our bags. They were hiding out under the mini fridge. I can only imagine what it looks like under it… After we had turned on the lights, they continued to run around on the floor. Enough said. Also, room had two queen beds. Both had sagging-in-the middle, mattress’s. Horrible. Gentleman in the front office moved us to another room. Good enough room where we felt comfortable enough to finish the night as there isn’t any other place to stay up on the Mesa. Checked out the next morning and requested a full refund. Between the lodge & Expedia, it was promptly refunded, in full. Haunta Virus is a serious risk from deer mice. Interesting on how a national park and Aramark can get away with the lack of cleanliness, safety and health conditions of their accommodations, not only for the public but for the staff as well. From other reviews on this place, others had mice issues as well. Take the reviews seriously, we wished we had. What a disappointing way to ruin our retirement celebration, with our first road trip. Would not recommend staying at Far View Lodge. The rest of the sights on Mesa Verde, are amazing though! Must see!

If you want peace and quiet in a beautiful setting, this is the place. Room was a little worn but very clean and comfortable. The plumbing was a little odd. Hot water comes out of the cold tap for a bit before turning cold and the shower was a bit fickle maintaining a constant temp. Debra was very accommodating at the restaurant and the front desk staff were helpful and friendly.

The surroundings are wonderful but the property is poorly managed. Registration person was short tempered and not helpful in fixing a problem. Dining room concierge rude. No soap in bathroom. Smell of disinfectant in the cafe. Staff seem burnt out. Pillows smell. I think that covers it all. There was one person at the check in who was very helpful and was doing her best to be helpful. Want to acknowledge her.

Rooms don’t have tvs and walls are paper thin. You can clearly hear every conversation next door as well as any sneeze,cough,burp or fart. Light is very visible under connecting doors not conducive to sleep at all. If you are in middle room you get it in stereo

You are in the middle of nowhere, and it is beautiful. The rooms are very dated and there is absolutely no internet or WiFi except minimally at the office area. I mean you are in the middle off a national park and it worth the inconvenience but kind of unexpected this day and age.

This hotel was very convenient for our visit to Mesa Verde. The room was nice and the area around it was quiet. The dining options were a bit expensive so we bought some food to eat in the room and found that there was no microwave. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

The location within the Mesa Verde National park is wonderful. The rooms are small, walls thin and the bathroom is very small. There were many mice that appeared at night and the food had to be thrown. Another guest two rooms over had the same problem and let staff know.

Accomodations were adequate for the area. The room was clean. The facility appeared to be short staffed with housekeeping and wait staff in the Metate restaurant. I could not get a consistent warm shower. The water would be cold then scalding then immediately cold. The walls ere thin and we could hear the next room conversation We were so happy to leave and will not be back The one 5 star goes to our server at the Metate Room in the Far View Lodge. Debby our server gave us first class service

This was our first time staying in a National Park facility and it was disappointing. We expected it to be dated but it needs a total upgrade. There is no cell service and the phone in our room didn't work, which the staff was aware of. Wifi only in the registration office and that was spotty. One working ice machine on the property. Cobwebs in the bathroom. A/C finicky. Bed was comfortable and view amazing.
