Brand new basement rec room in 2025 with additional living space and a putting green!

The home was completely renovated in 2022. It is located across from Lake Wisconsin with a modern open floor plan and lake views. With two ski hills, the Merrimac Ferry, Devil's Lake State Park, and the Ice Age Trail nearby, many options for restaurants, and WI Dells a 30-minute drive away, there are endless areas to explore!

Located in the quaint village of Merrimac, one block from Lake Wisconsin, and five blocks from the free Merrimac Ferry. In a family friendly neighborhood with sidewalks, yet feels private on all sides of the property. Walking distance to Merrimac Memorial Park with dock for fishing, a playground, and panoramic view of Lake Wisconsin.

Relax on the large front deck overlooking the community baseball diamond and Lake Wisconsin. In warmer months, a four person outdoor dining table with an umbrella and also four tall deck chairs are available to take in the views.

The kitchen is equipped with fridge/freezer, stovetop/oven, microwave, dishes, utensils, pots and pans, cooking sheets, casserole dishes, slow cooker, coffee maker (12-cup drip and Keurig combo), and toaster. There is an outdoor charcoal grill for guest use (bring your own charcoal and fluid).

Main level full bathroom with tub/shower and essentials (bath/hand towels, washcloths, TP, tissues, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash).

Access to the basement is included with washer and dryer, rec room, and quarter bathroom (toilet only, utility sink is around the corner in laundry space).

In the living room, there is a Samsung smart TV with YouTubeTV streaming app, along with various games and puzzles for your entertainment. There is also a smart TV in the basement rec room.

Living room - two sleeper sofas (queen and twin)
All bedding and linens are provided.

Access to the 2-car garage is included. Securely park two vehicles in the garage with any additional gear that you bring. Note the garage door has a 7 ft height clearance. The driveway can fit another two vehicles.

Many options for restaurants, bars, supper clubs, wineries, and breweries in the immediate and surrounding areas. You can also walk to a nice hometown bar just half a block away!

Guests will have access to the entire property other than a locked supply closet in the basement.

Quiet and Cozy
We have been to many rental properties. This by far was the cleanest we have ever been to. The space was comfortable and simple to make it feel cozy. Location made it convenient to all the attraction around. We would definitely stay again!

Family vacay
Perfect home base for a two-family vacay. Four teenage boys and two moms and we never felt crowded. Easy drive to the Dells, Devil’s Lake, and Baraboo. Beautiful views of Lake WI from the deck and a quick walk to fishing at Memorial park and ice cream at the ferry crossing. The house was very clean, stocked with basics, and communication with the owner was so easy. Highly recommend!

Perfect weekend stay
So nice, clean, and comfortable! Perfect for a home spot during a weekend of touring the area. Easy check-in, check-out, everything we needed! We ate at the Varsity Club and Candy's and enjoyed both. Sadly, the ferry was not running this AM when we hoped to check that out, but we will be back for sure.

Perfect house for our weekend ski trip to Devils Head. Check in was easy, had to call Justin cuz we messed up the door lock process, he was great. 5 minutes to the slopes, super clean and had everything we needed, plus a great view! We will definitely be coming back!!!

My favorite place so far!
Everything about this house was perfect! My fiance and I along with our kids had the best family getaway ever. The house is in a perfect location with everything you need for a great time no more than 20 mins away. My fiancee loved it so much she wants to return for our honeymoon minus the kids so we can really enjoy the lake and everything the community has to offer. I will definitely be returning for a second stay! 10 stars!

Great weekend getaway
We stayed there for 2 nights with our 2 kids and it was perfect. They got to share a queen sized bed and the beds were pretty comfortable! The owner let us know before checking in that there was an issue with the furnace and it was fixed very quickly before we even got there! It was so clean and well maintained. The neighborhood was quiet. The road its on seemed alittle busy, but you'd never notice it or hear it from inside the house. We will definitely be renting it again in the future!

Everything was very well communicated, beautiful property with everything we needed. You can tell everything is new and we enjoyed reading the list of activities. Wonderful Home
I’ve stayed at multiple VRBO properties and this home was near the top of my list. The town of Merrimac was charming, the house was even prettier than the pictures, and it was spotlessly clean. Loved the view of the river from the front deck! There was a lot to do in the area. I recommend crossing the river on the free ferry and doing the Gibraltar Rock hike. Also, the Parfrey’s Glenn hike was very pretty and located a short drive north of Merrimac. We had a fun dinner at Balanced Rock Winery (just 10-15 minutes north of the home) and the wine, food, and live entertainment was great. There were 4 adults in our group and we all agreed it was a great weekend!

Great newly remodeled home!
The house has a great floor plan and most of the comforts of home with a lovely view of Lake Wisconsin. The property manager forgot to provide us with the code to get in but this was remedied with a quick phone call. The wifi worked great and we enjoyed Sling TV. The bedroom even had lamps with USB ports. We had plenty of room to put our things and lots of hooks for wet things. The bed and pillow weren't as comfy as I'd like but I am a bit like the princess in The Princess and the Pea. No one else complained about it. The only thing that wasn't provided that I missed was a baking pan, since I planned to throw together a quick and easy casserole that would have been dinner for a couple of nights. Overall this place was fantastic. FYI, if you plan to eat at Fish Tales make sure you make a reservation.
