She doesn't speak French, so she was very impressed with the staff ability to communicate with her and help her with all her needs. Customer service is what made this property to stand out. "Hotel Mercure is located in the hearing of Angouleme and right across the street from the Halles - a unique venue much akin to a farmer market with patisseries, bars, and wonderful food. The staff was wonderful and shout out to our bartender. He was extremely professional and knowledgeable. The rooms are good sized, very clean, and fresh."

Firstly, the hotel has no parking and the streets all around are full of cars looking for a parking space…we spent 40 minutes looking and ended up 15 minutes walk from hotel.
